Nobody who has a beef with any of the mods is going to win. They are all, obviously going to stick up for each other. Personally I don't care if I get bombed (which is probably what will hapen now I said this) and I don't give a shit about a karma number in the corner of my screen (purely enjoy giving advice, getting answers to questions).
Look how long any Allom thread is. Everyone whether they like him or not, gets some satisfaction out of bombing/insulting/supporting him. If you trully wanted to spite him then you shouldn't respond to any of his posts. The fact that people do, even the ones who profess "hate", shows that he has his place. You might say that you want him banned, but I guarantee, when you have noone to bomb or insult, you will miss him. The fact that you stripped his karma points makes him even more dangerous to those offended by him. I think you did this to perpetuate the fun and games. Allon, if he ever did give a shit about karma, now is a loose cannon. So what if you ban him, he''ll just return as "Allon mk2" and probably be more insulting. The board has a place for everybody, just like real life. Insults through a computer screen are just that. Who gives a shit.
I hope that the majority of people being "offended" are not being serious, just getting off on waring with Allon (fine), otherwise that is a bit sad. Perhaps you should have a specific insults board, then anyone who is truly offended can just steer clear of that particular board, with any such stray posts being transfered. On another note, some people genuinely do care about karma, and this whole bombing war thing, will most definitely turn SOME sensitive souls off from using the board, or associating themselves as platinum members. If someone wants to bomb someone that they have a personal grudge with, or just that it amuses them, fine. But when people gang up on a member that actualy takes it as a personal attack, then they will be discouraged from using the site. The fact that a lot of people care about karma, makes such "blanket bombings" an obstacle to freedom of speech, as some will be discouraged to speak their mind. I've said this before, but so what if someone insults you in a computer forum. What is the big deal? So what if some one takes a few numbers off the corner of your screen. The trick is to take on the persona of someone who cares in order to perpetuate the activity, and that is exactly what people do. If you didn't have someone like Allon to say things that are daft or controvesial (depending on your viewpoint), you wouldn't have any means by which to launch humourous personal vendettas. If it is your aim to perpetuate the games, you should give Allon 30000 bonus karma points, and watch the mele of angry/funny posts that would ensue. If it is your aim to diminish his presence, then just ignore him. I conclude, that the fact that people reply to his posts/bomb him is proof that they want this kind of activity to continue. Same goes to the mods, if you didn't want this to continue, you wouldn't alter his posts and change his karma score.
The fact that there are so many threads about this kind of thing, means that there is a place on this board for Allon-style activity. If he posted it in other sections, then he should be banned, but he doesn't.
p.s. Has George Spellwin ever logged on? Does he exist, or is he just a pseudonym? Is one of the mods "George Spellwin". C'mon George, if you do exist, please come and give us your input it would be very interesting to hear from you.

p.p.s. I have had 1 bad experience from a moderator - Ulter, he's a knowlegeable guy, but we disagreed about creatine ethyl esther, nothing offensive said, just had differing opinions which we both backed up with reason. Someone posted something on another thread I started saying that they would like to hear Ulter's opinion, to which I repsonded that I found it amuzing because I'd just had a "run in" with Ulter on his thread. He responded by posting that if I wanted to use language like that, he could have me banned. I've given him karma since for some of his input, but I hardly think a mod should go around threatening members with being banned over something so petty.
Final comment, the only thing annoying about bombing, is the fact that your posts get blacked out. I genuinely have a lot of advise to give people regarding physiology training and nutrition. As a contibuting member, it is daft to have information that might help someone blacked out because of childish group bombing behviour. What do these people do, spend all their time looking for people to group bomb who say something bad about them? Most of the time they don't even bother to say anything insulting- it's pointless and stupid. Perhaps they don't have the ability to come at you with a decent comeback, with this group bombing activity being their only outlet. If you do not want to discourage contributing members from logging on and choosing a different board, I suggest you do something about this activity.
