i bought it 11 years ago for $158k when it was a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom.
the county assessed it now to be worth $600k but thats GOTTA be wrong (i expanded it a year after i got it). I'm suing them (the county) because of it. my guess is more like $450k. I have an acre of land though (yes, in nassau), so thats part of the reason why the new assessment made them skyrocket.

with the reassessment, now it matters. when i bought my house, it didn't matter. my taxes were lower than my neighbors who have little postage stamp size yards.
i can't build on it either, unless i tore my house down to make it accessable.
so, my son rides his dirtbike on it.
