George Foreman Grill

I've heard from a friend that steak wasn't that good on a George Foreman. Any comments on this, any particular steaks that are better than others on the Foreman?

They are great for Fish and Italian sausage, but I don't like to cook chicken on it. It seems to dry it out to much, but maybe I am just cooking it for too long or something. They make some great grilled cheese sandwiches too!

pushing_fe, yeah you are probably leaving the chicken on too long. As soon as its all white on the inside I take it off, otherwise it becomes WAY too dry.

I just have some regular ol' steak and it cooked like magic. Put Montreal Steak Seasoning on both sides (not too much) and grill it. Trust me everybody...get Montreal Steak Seasoning! Add it to your grocery list!!!!! It's in the herbs and spices aisle.

If someone doesn't like steak cooked on a forman grill it is probably due to the relative lack of heat produced. It just doesn't get that seared crust that makes steak so good. I'm not sure why people like these grills........ They are harder to clean up than a frying pan, take longer to heat up, don't get as hot, and don' have as many uses. I say just get yourself a good cheap pan and call it good..

I've been meaning to get one for a while now. I heard good things about them. I never heard of or saw these vertical grillers but ill look into them. I still like the ol BBQ for a good steak.
