genetic potential

whats the big hype about being at your genetic potential b4 running AAS... if a person really is at they're genetic potential there is no way the body can support gains past that naturally your actually pissing in the wind if u want to maintain your gains u'll have to cycle for the rest of your life past your genetic potential

im not home right now to give a proper response but prepare for a backlash on this one bro because your so wrong here

young guys seem to believe that but its not true at all.

I know guys in their 40's and even 50's who are breaking PR's still. at your age 22 you haven't even come close to your potential, you've got years ahead of you. i would like to see a 22 year old who is my height and weight outlift me at the gym, not gonna happen!! i have the experience and hours in the gym that he doesn't have. even for endurance sports you still have guys in their late 30's who are the ones winning races overall and that is the toughest age group. for bodybuilding seems to be the same thing. the average Mr Olympian age in the past 20 years has been well into the 30's.. you don't have guys in their early 20's winning these days. same goes for any bodybuilding contest.

i understand it takes loads of time... to make it to heaven u must first live in hell ... the idea of genetic potential is an illusion the body is constantly adapting darwin one said its not the smartest nor the strongest that survives its the one that adapts to change the best... i believe there is no genetic potential no plateu's only the ones we make ourselves... we are our own worst enemy...

ah yes genetic potential, what one has inherited from years and years of breeding . I would argue strongly that once uve hit a curtain point , That point being ur genetic potential u can only shape ur muscles without the use of AAS. Unless ur willing to run AAS for long periods of time and or bridge MOST people fall well short of what they expected thier physiques to turn out like hence why they turn to AAS. In saying that tho steroids r fun provided u use them correctly. They are very very few people on this planet that actually have exceptional genetics for BODYBUILDING and even fewer with great Aesthetics and even fewer then that who have both . I would love to c someone like ullises try be a BB he has the best physique of all time and without doubt some of the best genetics for aesthtetics the world has even seen . what would happen if ullises decided to try become a mass monster it would be interesting .

Simply put -- that is incorrect.

I actually have to agree with the op a bit. I am not saying u should just jump on juice or that u shouldn't wait until reaching your genetic potential to juice but by definition he is right. If u are at your potential...u are at your limit/Max. To go beyond that u have to do "something extra"...u have to get that extra push to go past your limit. Once u push past that, u have to maintain that "something extra" to at least maintain that bit extra u have pushed past your limit. To make it a bit more clear...a stock engine had a maximum output be it horsepower, speed, acceleration, etc. To go past that stock limit u have to do some mods. The new limits u reach with those mods will only be maintained as long as u still have those mods on the car. U take them away...u have a stock engine again. If u juice to pass your genetic potential and u get off...the best u can hope for is to maintain. U won't continue to grow...if u do, u didn't reach your genetic potential to begin with.

once a person is past they're "genetic potential" how would u maintain gains without AAS

i think you are trying to convince yourself its okay for you to juice at a young age with this thread when you know you aren't ready.

the bottom line is at 22 you aren't even close to your genetic potential. do you really believe your diet is 100% on point right now? and you are working out 2X per day and as strong as you can get without roids?

on the flipside no one on here has gotten to their genetic potential before juicing.. the only guys that say they may have are maybe guys like navy seals who it is their jobs to do nothing but train 24/7.

but that doesn't mean you should just start taking roids when you are 6 foot and 150 pounds and can bench 125, or 5 5 and 240 with 34% body fat.

if i'm not in peak shape i feel guilty running steroids for the simple reason that i feel like I am exposing my body to very powerful hormones which will effect my hpta and lipids.. and because I am spending money that could be used for other things. before i run a cycle i make sure i am completely healthy and in top shape, otherwise its just not worth it when you can improve without them.

now if you don't give a shit about your health and you have a trust fund so you are spending mommy and daddy's money then go ahead and juice when you are not ready.

yes but what if your car is a ford escort vs. a BMW M5. instead of trying to modify the engine in a ford to match the bmw, you might as well turn your body into a bmw first. then it will be way easier to further modify it down the road.

like the story of my friend who could bench 85 pounds, then went on dbol for 4 weeks.. then could bench 150.. then bragged that he almost doubled his bench press. well had he trained naturally he could of easily gotten to 150 without the dbol.. its just that his chest was so small from never really working out that once he did workout he had so much room to improve

the problem is for a skinny dude like that is once he comes off roids he won't have the motivation to workout anymore cause he never worked out naturally. so he will be dependent on roids now. and for a fat guy who is out of shape the problem is he will run into a ton of sides and its almost the same problem where he will lose weight from working out and eating right and then not have motivation when he comes off.

I am not disagreeing with u steeve. U give excellent points and I am not saying he is ready for roids at all. just arguing from a definitive standpoint. No doubt some people have ford pinto potential and others have lambo potential but no matter what, the pinto will never match the lambo. Period. Lol.

^^^ yeah i agree with your post for the most part. i think young guys are a victim of just that.. being YOUNG. now in my 30's boy is it a lot easier to be strong and build muscle.. when i was young my metabolism was fast, i lacked knowledge, lacked experience. i remember in my high school weight room if you could bench 315 pounds that was considered incredible, now i do 315 for 6 or 7+ off cycle... i would love to go back to those days with the knowledge i have today. its just like having sex the first time vs. what we know today. these young frat guys in college don't know anything compared to what a guy in their 30's knows

??? Wait a minute. Are we talking about NATURAL full potential limit or not?

I agree for sure. If I knew then what I know now! Ha ha ha. I know that most people don't know near as much as they should before juicing and its just an easy way out. Like I said...I was just arguing the point of going past genetic potential.

I am saying once u reach your natural genetic potential and u juice to go beyond that...u can't stop juicing and continue to extend beyond that potential.
