Gene Therapy

Has any serious work gone into Gene Therapy for Life extension purposes? I'm struggling to find any.

I saw a huge bull that had been given muscle gene therapy that kept it cont making gh - growth hormone (somatropin) - or a similar hormone.It was amazing.Sorry I dont recall the exact procedure but it made me wonder if a man could get it and look like Ferrigno without supplementing gear.Anybody remember that story and pic?
