Gear coming out after injection

Hey guys, for the last couple pins I've done I've had gear shoot out after the injection.

I shoot in my glute (upper right or left quadrant)
1. I aspirate
2. I inject slowly and make sure to push as much gear in as possible (push hard at end)
3. I keep the needle in for 20-30 seconds (while still holding the plunger down)

I then withdraw and apply pressure with a cotton ball but blood shoots out and the cotton ball smells like straight up gear. I also always get blood in the removable tip of the syringe (most likely from the pressure I'm creating)

Do you guys get this problem??

You're knicking vessels/veins on your way into the muscle. Not a big deal and you wont lose any noticeable amount of gear

Google Z-Track intramuscular injection.

Used to happen to me occasionally. Make sure you inject deep and pull back a little before you begin injecting to make sure blood doesn't enter the syringe and you should be good. Inject slowly and don't force it.

Keep pressure on plunger as you pull the pin out.

Inject deep into the muscle with a long enough needle and small enough gauge and there should be no issue
