I read once in Powerlifting USA that Josh Bryant performed high reps for the purpose of increasing his strength (bench:365x18,squat:440rawx20 or so), a technique he reportedly picked up from Garry Frank.

Do any of you know anything about this?

Do any of you do this?

Any info on either Garry Frank's or Josh Bryant's training would be most welcome. I can only find bits and pieces of it in the web.
 
I was under the impression that Garry liked to go heavy year round...always.

I was under the same impression until I read the article. I'm pretty sure it was used for strength increases as I remember the phrase, "I hate doing the reps but they make me stronger".

Visited EliteFTS and saw in their training logs that a couple of them were including a high rep set of benching(20-30 reps) after their ME bench work. What for? (This should be a new thread. Wait just a second... Just about... There!)
