Garbage: Bleed Like Me

They have been my favorite band since they came out. I remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard their first song the first time it was played on the radio station where I lived:

Where: Delivering pizza in Belle Isle - returning on the long road back to South Island.
When: Spring of 1996
Song: Queer
Station: Wave 104.

It was a battle of the songs night and Garbage debuted against another and lost.

I even remember where I was and what I was doing when I first decided to buy their album. I was lying on my bed in Freshman year of college - layed off from my job, staring at the ceiling. And I went over to Tower Records and bought it. And I listened to it all night. And all day. Beginning to end.

Their latest album is possibly their best. I like all their albums - they all have that special sound. The new one may not have the same magic of the first one for me, but you can only be a Garbage virgin once and no time is like the first time, eh?

All of the songs are great. I throw about half on my playlist for running with. "Why do you love me" is my favorite - but I like all of them. "Boys Want to fight" and Metal Heart and Bleed Like Me, and Come On Over and ... Happy Home... they are all fantastic.

I strongly encourage you to check it out.

They have been out for a while and have had tons of good songs.
Very underrated in the U.S..
The only song I realy dislike from them is "only happy when it rains".
They rock for the most part.

I caught the new Garbage tune "Why do you love me?" on the radio while driving to work. More guitar-laden, heavier stuff than in the past. I like it.

....speaking of which, I think I'll go see if I can find it on LimeWire

Turns out for my Bday my GF is getting us tix to see them at the 9:30 club.

Funny CFZB - "happy..." is probably their biggest song, popularity wise.
