Did anybody here try the game SWAT 3 ? and Medal of Honor ? What are toughts ? Good ? Better than Rogue Spear and Ghost Recon ?

Thanks :)

Medal of Honor
Not too bad, ending is not exciting. Not too bad for multi-player, but it has some bugs with unlike bandwidth users hooking up (cable users serving to dial-ups or DSL etc)

Ghost Recon, with the new add-on is great if you like the stuff from Red Storm. I personally don't care for the keyboard interface.

I prefer Delta Force: Land Warrior and can't wait for Task Force Dagger.

Im waiting for the new US Army game, Americas Army to arrive. Hey it was free.

I just bought a PS2 on monday actually
All i have right now is GT3 and MGS2, but if anyone has any suggestions as what games to get, im all ears.
GTA3 is my next choice when i want another game.

Medal of Honor is pretty good. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was good too, but the concept of adding zombies into a WW2 game didn't do anything for me.

I ordered the new army game, and the fuckers have been calling me almost every day, or sending me mail.

Hey I feel neglected, the US Army has yet to call or e-mail me.

:)

No love for me from the Army.

are they similar to Ghost Recon ? I mean what I like in those game is the degree of realism. No fuckin laser gun and monster rocket launcher :)

The Delta Force series is the *most* real of all the games I've played. Medal of Honor is just as real though.

The only reason I don't consider the Red Storm Entertainment stuff *as* real (I'm splitting hairs) is simply because you can switch from person to person.

But Red Storm's stuff was on the top of my list before the Delta Force series came out.

I was so addicted to rogue spear for a while there, multiplayer RS was like crack.

Ghost recon didnt really have the same appeal to me, there wasnt enough people playing it really.

My main beef with Rogue Spear series is there are no outdoor scenarios.

I like to create a map with indoors and outdoor areas. That way the snipers and close combat guys all have something to make them happy.

There is heaps of outdoor scenarios in RS.

in all series.

I know, but they all have these rather limiting boundries and when you hit the limit it's like you're a mime doing that invisible wall trick (only guys are putting bullets in your back).

DF has larger map possibilities.

PS2?
Oh I thought you guys meant the PC version of these games.

The only thing I have for the PS2 is Madden 2002, FIFA World Cup and Drakken.

Yes I meant PC games :)

I got to a board in MOH for ps2 where a bunch of nazis were on the steps. I chucked a grenade to take them out, and one of them sacrificed himself by jumping on it. One example of how realistic that game is.

Medal of Honor is a sweet game. The Normandy landing is probably the best executed game sequence I've ever seen. One thing to remember is that MOH is not a "war simulator" such as anything Red Storm puts out -- it's strictly a shoot-em-up game. Also, the ending sucks balls.

GTA3 is available for the PC now. I've got a ripped version, and unfortunetly there are some major bugs -- but they can be fixed if you don't mind fucking around with the sound and video files. Personally, I'm just gonna wait 'til a new crack comes out. :D

If you like first person stuff, check out Jedi Knight 2. It's a lot of fun. I also hear Soldier of Fortune 2 kicks major ass...I'm getting it sometime this week.

if you have ps2 you MUST own GTA3. it make the ps2 worth it.

The only reason I love to play GTA3 is because it allows me to beat, main, and murder innocent bystanders. Nothing like running around in broad daylight and blasting somebody's brain out. Addicting, heh.

BTW, has anybody tried out SOF 2 yet?

I tried MOH on my PC, but need to get my video card updated.

Taps, good point on MOH being a shoot 'em up game. By realistic I mean that they react like people. Self sacrifice, smarter enemies, etc.

i gotta finish maximo and even metal gear (i'm at the very end but just stopped playing it for some reason)... i heard soldier of fortune was awesome too... i'm one of the people who get a game and play THAT game only...

hence, even madden is sitting around now... cant wait for college football and then the new madden!!!

Soldier of Fortune blows BIG TIME.

It's not realistic. Graphics all look like terrible bitmaps.
