Gamepad Question for PC Gamers

Has anyone here found a gamepad or a combination gamepad and software "profiler" that works well with PC Games? Help would be appreciated.

I was thinking it was a gamepad. What I am looking for is a controller similar to a Play Station II or XBox game controller that plugs in to a USB port on a computer. Looking for something better than using a keyboard, or the occasional joystick.

I have a converter so I can use my ps2 controllers on my comp. Look at some of the overseas sites and you should have no problem finding one. I think I got mine at radioshack ....

There are converters for Xbox controllers and some Xbox 360 PC controllers that are made by MS.
