I'm mostly pissed off that SciFi became SyFy and my SciFi Friday, Stargate, Stargate:Atlantis, Dr. Who and Battlestar, my favorite tv day of the week became professional wrestling Friday with SyFy; The closest they come to science fiction is "Jersey Shore Shark Attack" and other mega creature original movies. Don't get me started on the "Ghost Hunter" and other "reality" franchises.
how did they let battlestar jump itself while they axed universe way early? BSG was for 2 and half or so seasons one of the best shows ever made, and the writers let the network executives fuck with their pre written time tables and extended the series beyond what it was originally templated for. Universe went nowhere and had so much fucking potential.
I'll never understand the appeal of the "Stargate" franchise. It's crap science fiction. As for "Universe", I think it failed because it was unrelentingly depressing.

I'll admit Stargate is typical action adventure; It's popcorn escapism. SGU tried to bring Battlestar drama to the Stargate Universe; They broke the formula and alienated a lot of Atlantis fans by ending the series early.
