Gaining 5 lbs in 1 meal?!?!?!?

This is my 4th week of fina only, 75 mg EOD for cutting. I have been following a very strict diet(220g protein, 60g carbs, 50 g fat and a day) with one cheat meal a week and cardio twice a day, 6 days a week. Last night was my cheat meal and this morning I went to do cardio and was 5 lbs. heavier then the day before!?!? Why is this?;)
 
You were in a carb depleted state. Muscle carb stores are known as glycogen. When this gets stored in muscles water gets drawn in as well with it. Remember your muscles are over 70% water. So when you carb loaded you refilled up your glycogen reserves as well as drawing up more water within your muscles thus accounting for the weight gain.

Once you go back to your regular diet it will go away anyway. A day and you should be back. It has nothing to do with gaining fat so don't worry. I actually like carb up days here and there depending on ones metabolism. It helps to give your body it's preffered source of fuel as well as your brain since your brain strives on glucose. I also read somewhere that too low a carb diet depletes t3 levels in the body so by giving yourself these cheat days you may up your metabolism again. Plus overall psychologically it just makes you feel good. :)
 
I've been low carbing for a while and ate like shit for the last week.....ate clean during the day but at night I've been eating anything I can get my hands on...all junk food, cookies cake candy bars donuts, etc.

I gained 12 lbs in a week...LOL. I feel so big and strong right it's it's amazing, however the bloat I have isn't cool...time to get back on track.
