Furniture Question

Is it pretty normal for furniture to be delivered??? As in, not cash + carry??

We've been looking for new furniture for a LONG time now & I finally found something I like but delivery is in 4-6 weeks. The last time I "ordered" furniture it never showed up.......Hubby keeps arguing with me that we shouldn't have to order it -- but I figure that's for crappy stuff.

Most furniture stores will have some pieces in stock so you could pay and take it right then. A lot of places like to deliver so they can have showrooms and a seperate warehouse so they don't have to maintain such a large retail facility. Quality of furniture isn't usually effected by whether or not it's delivered. I will say that if it's super exspensive stuff let them deliver it that way if if gets scratched/damaged during delivery you get new stuff that isn't scratched up.

most stores will have certain stuff in stock but if your buying from a reputable business...4-6 weeks is within reason for delivery of furniture...

yes its very normal for them to deliver it
i say that 4-6 weeks is slow though, ive gotten stuff within a week delivered

come on...its allot harder to deliver real furniture...you got a new plastic running wheel in your cage and a new extension with a observation ball..plus the new Hamster ball so you can run freely around the house

lol no, this was 2 lamps, a couch and loveseat, 2 end tables and a coffee table, i got it all in a week or less, cant remember now it was quite awhile ago
last time i got a table and coffee table i went to a place that had it in stock luckily

When i got my bedroom suit, i went to pick it out and they delivered it within the week....dang you paid for it you should get it quick

im going to be ordering my bedroom set from Restoration Hardware and it will take 4-6 weeks....

if it's not delivered..im not buying it. Waiting sucks, but so does scratches on your truck, a sore back, lost time and overall headache.
