Full body workout on one day or split up?

Hello,

I'm 16 years old (almost 17) and I'm relatively new to weighlifting.
My question is, is it bad to do a full upper body workout on one day? Should I spread it out over the week? Cause yesterday I did a full upper body workout with new heavier weights, and today every major muscle except from biceps is sore. This worries me, will my body have enough proteins to fix every muscle? I don't take any protein shakes. I do drink about 3 glasses of milk a day and eat an egg a day.

Comments please!

you don't need to be doing a full upper body workout as a beginner. You need to get the compound lifts down that are the foundation for lifting.

Check out Rippetoes 3x5 Starting Strength. Also, milk/eggs are great sources of protein, but if you're bulking you need to have about 5-6 times as much as that!

Height and weight please!

if you give it enough rest time... it will recover... we still need more details though... its almost implied that you are trying to get away with one full body workout a week?... is that what you are trying to do?... the downside to that is your intensity will not be as great...
