Fuk'd- need legal advice

So I was going through a tax resolution service. They were supossed to help me reduce my debt. I paid them an upfront fee to file for me for the last 4 years which I hadn't done, and then a monthly installment to work my case, which would take anywhere from 6-10 months.

Now I checked around and this pretty much seemed to be the standard, but this place seemed a litle more realistic as far as how far they could reduce my debt.

So they other day they took my monthly payment out 5 days early, I called to see what's up and left a message, then 2, then 20. Getting more and more angry all the time. Finally all their numbers are out of service and their website say this-

http://www.wefixirs.com/

They are called Certified IRS solutions.

Any advice?

If your state or commonwealth attorney's office. They usually have a consumer protection division. Were you working with an attorney at all. Do you have a name for any attorney who was working on it. If you do, pm it to me and I can track them down for you.

Sounds like a scam, unfortunately.

No. I had a tax bill bigger than a lot of peoples' home loans. Now it's down to about what you'd expect to pay for an Infinity.

infinity speakers?

or an infiniti car?

I am a tax attorney---I cannot offer advice as I am only licensed in Colorado and federal court----but send me a pm so I can point you in the right direction

So, let me get this straight. The top threads of today are about Thursday plans, Angel's hatred of Lestat, Chris trying to get into my pants, and gun violence.

Yet, you want reputable tax law advice from us? I'm not sure we're the best representation that you can get.

OMG, I still can't believe you actually called one off those numbers off the TV or radio commercials

"when you're in debt, we're the solution!" OLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't come here in 6 mos. saying you bought into one of those "get rich quick on real estate programs" and that it didn't work.

what about the attorneys that offer your settlement before you even get it, but charge you like 65% or more OLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

"It's my money and I need it now!"

My sister in law did that and got PWND to the 10th degree
she sucks at life

My ex fiance actually found them on the web. Like I said I scouted around after and they seeme to be the most realistic. Other companies said they could get your debt down to %10-15 of your debt. This one claimed %25-50. They had a team of lawyers and at first were in contact with me almost daily. During the last month is when I became suspicious and should have done more then. Oh well. Day late and $2100 short I guess.

And as far as a lawyer goes, I have talked with one. He said I could spend the full amount or more by the time this is settled, and if the company is bankrupt and there is nothing to recover then I am fucked.

I live in WI. ANd I meant as far as going after the company that robbed me. I know it will cost a lot for a reputable tax lawyer and that's the route I am going to have to go. Any suggestions?

I just called the IRS to see if this company had had any contact with them whatsoever. They said no, and the guy was a total asshole and said they will start garnishing my wages and retirement fund. I simply call to tell them the situation I'm in and that I was making an attempt and he tells me he has no way of knowing that and I better get filed soon and expect my checks to be garnished.

What a dick. When I called last time I got this nice sweet woman, who said they were willing to work with me and that they are a new friendlier IRS. My fukin ass! I don't expect them to just forget about it, but give me a chance to get things going here fuck.

they can't garnish your retirement funds. . .that's bad info. . .which isn't surprising considering the source. . .

i know a good guy in south dakota. . .let me call him and see if he has any contacts in wisconsin. . .maybe we can find someone close to where you live. . .you don't have to use someone close to home but, obviously, it will make your life a lot easier. . .

Also, just get a tax attorney to file your taxes, ASAP.

I don't do tax, AT ALL, nor am I licensed in SD.
