fucking delt injection

Okay I will have to rotate my six sites for injections in my next cycle so I figured I would practice with my delt injections. Well I did visit spotinjections and it looked easy so I got it all ready, put the needle like halfway in and my fucking delt started twitching and it freaked me out. sorry for the rant but I hate sticking myself and then having to pull out. I did the shot in my quad instead. I pretty much just looked for the middle of my medial delt and went for it. Oh well I guess I will have to try again on wed.

that is the weird thing johnboy there was no pain just the twitching, Yeah I know if you severe a nerve you would be fucked up but considering our injection procedures how would you stop that. I inject like a dart stick it in fast, so how would you know if you are going to hit a nerve and whats more once you feel the pain by then it would most likely be too late.

not to be a dick but I have always read and heard that is what you are suppose to do, even my Ex-gfriend who was a nurse and used to do my injection did it quick, oh well I guess you learn new things each day. Thanks bouncer

Bouncer, I have to disagree on this one. Everyshot I ever got at my docs office or the hospital was fast. My Ex's mom was an RN and used to give me my cortizone shot when I had tendonitist and it was fast and done.

This is not to say you dont feel more comfortable doing your injections slow, but its not hospital proticol

if anyone cares, I did my delt injection with no problems. took bouncers advice of pushing slow, no problem. another milestone in my imaginary drug life

i personally lube up the needle with the oil and press somewhat slowly as i roll the barrell back and forth, it makes it slide in easier.

If your injecting in yourself it is better to go slow so you can feel what is happening, ie hitting a nerve or vein.

Most RN's and other people that are injecting into someone else typically go faster when inserting because it doesn't give the person a chance to jerk and bend or break the needle, and they say it is less stress on the patient to go in faster. The other deal is RN's and doc's do know the body ( or atleast should) and it's places for injections a little better than us typical recreational pin pokers, and they are not fearful of hitting a nerve or a vein based on their "supposed expertise".

Most of the time they are not using 1.5" pins


When injecting myself I always go slow that way I can feel what is happening, when injecting my buddy I always go a little faster so he doesn't have time to tense up. Seems to work great.

Actually this is all bullshit, because I never inject anyting into myself of my friend, expecially any type of illegal substances.

I just did a delt shot today and it twitched going in but I kept on...aspirated...no blood so I shot it. Your crazy darting it in, I like to slide it in nice and slow kinda like...never mind.
