So I go to the bookstore to have them buy back my books. I spent:

$44 - Coursepack
$108 - Social Psych. book
$78 - Philosophy book
$48 - Anthropology

Guess what I got back? A fuckin football up my ass with no lube.........$45 and a slice of nasty ass, greasy pizza which I declined. Fuckin crooks.

Most Univ bookstores give back 50% on NEW books and little if anything on used.

Advertise somewhere in the school that you are selling a used book for 60 percent of the price the used bookstore sells them for...you make out better, the other person does to.... they really fuck us with books....biology book for science majors: $135.oo

Yep, turned in about 200 dollars worth of text today and got a whopping 22 back.

Get use to it. It's happened to me many times.

They know 90% of the people are going to sell the books back to them regardless of the price they pay for them, so they pretty much stick it up your ass and make you like it.

You can do what Frackal said. It just takes some time and patience.

yeah textbooks are definitely a ripoff, i spent 300 bucks this semester and got 10 bucks back, bastards only took one of my books, the others were in better condition then the one they took. i think they just like to mess with college students.

the last school i went to allowed you to rent your books. you paid 50 dollars for everything and as long as you returned them at the end of the semester you didnt have pay anymore.

i really miss that now that i have to pay 80 bucks for a 65 page long philosophy book that i will never read again.

WE RENT OUT TEXT BOOKS FOR ABOUT 50-70$ PER SEMESTER AND TURN THEM IN AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER FOR FREE. PROVIDING THEY ARE NOT LATE, AT WHICH TIME I WOULD PAY A FEE OF 7$ PER BOOK.
