yeah, I dont think we were prepared for the way the brazilians played-which was really dirty. yeah they hold the ball well and their passing is immaculate, but they played dirty and dove at every opportunity

The U.S. did well, dominated the first half of the match, great attacking play, but missed their opportunities and were punished by the Germans whose defence was rock solid. They were definitely unlucky, and I'm sad. It would have been a great thing for the sport in the U.S. if they went further.
Didn't see the england game, but I had them tipped to beat Brazil. The englishmen may wear women's clothes and spank each other, but they've played some great soccer this tournament.

yeah they played well for the 1st 25 mins an then lost it. im not makin excuses for them but i really dont think the team was fit especially owen and becks, if we played like we did against denmark or germany earlier in the year we would have woopped their ass! its a young team but i think they will do it next time.

Great to finally see some posts about soccer on EF. Great Cup for the US overall, very respectible loss to a very good team. The European Club players were definitely at a disadvantage seeing how they all just ended their grueling season. I think we'll see a Germany/Brazil final. The US sure looked good on the attack. Agoos needs to get to...well I guess his international career is finished anyway.
This is a long shot but:
If anybody lives in AR and wants to play in a mens league email me-I'm building a team which will play in the same style as Germany-big boys with speed.

My opinion is I am glad all the hype and bullshit is over.. couldn't move without some cunt talking about football... I thought the US deserved to at least go into extra time. I thought that we (England) played shite that game... Brazil played ok with a few stuning moves and a lot of dodgy shit but still deserved to win against an England team look clueless.

The U.S outplayed Germany the whole game.Germany definately got lucky this time.The U.S defense was very tight as well .The U.S had better shots on goal.Donovan beat Kahn and the ball was only saved by a German defenders hand.
Also....maybe it is because of a lack of experience or grasp of the tricks and subtleties at the elite level,but the U.S. did a lot less of the undignified ,wussy ass faking of injuries to get the other team fouled that you see in most of the top teams.

I'm sorry, but England played a terrible game, and we assumed they were scared at us, played deffense, scored a goal thanks to a bizarre mistake and did absolutely nothing the rest of the game to deserve to go ahead in the Cup.
USA deserved better luck against Germany, and they got hurt by the referee, badly.Donovan is a good player and I think soccer will grow rapidly.
BTW, referees are outrageous, specially the way they are helping Corea.
In the end, I think we will win. Again.

There is no way Brasil is losing. They're far too good for the rest of the teams. Unless the fucked up referees start disallowing goals again.

Who knows Bro? We all accept Brazil is a better team and sofar the best team in the tournament, but they actually didn't beat our asses in the first game. Their asses was somehow saved by some very controversial calls.

a scandal. Italy and Spain should have made it against Korea
but the "experienced" referees from Egypt, Jamaica, Burkina Faso
and other important soccer countries saw it differently.

actually bro regarding ice hockey there are domestic leagues in Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Russia, and many more countries throughout Europe....theres even a league in England and in Asia in Japan....
