Fruits and Veggies?

Are they bad for you on a cutting diet? The sugar in the fruit ot the carbs in the veggies or are they good to add into a diet plan ?

Depending on the type of diet you are on. Veggies fit into practically every diet plan. They are very satiating, provide fiber, and plenty of great nutrients. Fruits are not as typical in most diets, but are very nutritious and can be part or a healthy nutrition plan. If you are on a mission to cut up soon, I would stock up on veggies and leave out the fruits.

Good luck

eat a ton of fiberous veggies. Fruits are thought of as bad because fructose (fruit sugar)once converted into glycogen is stored in the liver- if your liver glycogen is full then the spill over will be stored immediately as fat. Hence the term forbidden fruit. MuscleDm pretty much summed it up for you.

Like the guys above mentioned, it's really dependent on what type of diet you're on. For most diets (cutting too) eating vegtables with plenty of fibre is great.

Fruit = no (too much fructose / sucrose to get cut)

GREEN veggies = yes...great fiber source (spinach, turnip greens, etc.)

YELLOW veggies = maybe (no if your on a contest diet). Too much sugar in them.

Hot Peppers = another maybe.... I use them up to the last two weeks of a show. They are supposed to help speed up your metabolism.

Unless you are cuuting for a competition fruit and veggies are OK (for fiber, vitamins, minerals and phyto nutrients)

well..it depends..
ide suggest a variety of vegies..and definetately choose yellow veg (eg butternut/pumpkin) over processed white rice as a source of carb.

i tried just having green veg for about 3 months..but it gets boring, and u also lack vital nutriants from other coloured vegies.

if you're gonna have fruit stick to low GI..eg berries, pears, apples. They have hi fibre..so will help flush out your system etc etc etc.....
