The workout is going great for me. I substituted Dumbbell Rows for shrugs with an emphasis on pulling my lower traps together. My lower traps are a problem area for me, I need the growth. The Dips feel great now that I'm strapping 55 lbs between my legs (my 30 lb cock just wasn't challenging enough). I feel MUCH stronger on squats now but that could be because I'm not limping around with gunshot wound pain from sust shots (last shot end of Nov). I'm going deeper into the squat at a higher weight. I should be repping 300 by the end of Feb.

The program is doing what I want it to. I FEEL stronger every workout. My goal is to gain no less than 1 lb per week now. That would put me right at 220lbs at the end of Feb. I'm considering a cycle at that time but don't want any drastic gains. Only lean keepeable gains to put me at about 225-230 with 5% bodyfat (cost also a factor there).

I ran out of Triple Threat on Saturday and my order is backordered. I never got around to buying something else this weekend so now it's Monday and I feel like shit because I don't have my shakes and I won't be able to eat enough. Plus, I'm not looking forward to buying some Myoplex anyway. I can't stand the taste of that shit anymore. Maybe I'll try a small jug of something else. Vanilla usually seems the safest bet. I'm spoiled with 3/60.

I'm with cornholio on the HDT if you can't get the triple threat - it was what I used until I tried george's stuff.

I've been loving the training - just starting up on it and missed friday due to travel, but I'm gainin 1-3lbs a week, mainly due to tracking what I'm eating on fitday and basically just keep eating until I'm over 4000 cals.

this is the first time I've been clean for awhile, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but my lifts have kept going up - but they fail pretty spectacularly now - used to feel it coming, but now I press things up and then they just fall down out of nowhere with no warning... good thing I have a spotter.

my squats are pathetic right now - but they are going up quickly - I should be over 300 again in I think 2 weeks.
 
I'm jumping on your three... I Mean the three day a week ban wagon today.

I'm going to do the old Reg Park W/O fr the next 6 weeks.

Although If I spasm all to hell from DL and Squats in the same day I am going to hunt you all down and use SSME as a prelube tool on your sphincters!

I tossed on what I thought was nothing and went to do it and nearly passed out at 15 or so.
gonna try it again today I think and hope it is slightly less pathetic.

(not sure I do them right - I never put them down from start to finish, so I'm always under tension - a guy at the gym told me I was doing it wrong, and I told him he was fat)

On deadlifts, I let the weight touch the ground momentarily, just long enough to make sure I have good posture. Slightly longer than a "tap". At least, that's what I go for on my first 12-15 reps. I allow myself a couple of breaths between reps the longer I go. The way I understand it, that's the correct way to do it for this many.
 
well, I'd let it touch the ground, but I don't want the shiny chrome dumbells to get scratched.
what? you don't use dumbells? and what? you say those chrome ones don't go heavier than 20lb... fuck.

seriously though, I'll try the pause method and see how that works - or I'll just throw the weight down and scream, then grab my crotch and squeal like a cross between micheal jackson and madonna in express yourself.
 
Just thought I'd chime in.....b/c I can't believe it! Gained 4 lbs. in the first week.

Set a personal record on squats. And really not that sore anymore. I agree though, the 20 rep deads were tough.
I was like "14, 15, oh jesus......."

Round 2 this week.....this is too cool....
 
Don't short change yourself. The chroming process adds at least 1/2 lb to each dumbbell.

And the crotch-grab-squeal is the standard finishing move for deadlifts.

hey what weight are you fools doing 20 rep squats and deads with? i squat in the same neighboorhood as HS and fro so if i were to one day crank out some 20 reppers i wonder what you two use. i am doing around 265-270 for 10 on my first set of both squats and deads so tell me what you knickaz use.
 
embarassingly, only 135 - I thought it would be easy as hell since I (at my best) had done over 400 for 6-8.
but nope - it was a whole lotta suck on my part.

I seriously thought I was going to do some sort of combination of passing out face first into the mirror and puking - reminds me of some nights at the bars, but less clothing.
 
I used 155 lbs for 20 reps. I know my deadlifts are weak, which is why I'm on this program. My training partner didn't like doing them. He also didn't like when I teabagged him during bench press.
 
in my defense, I haven't been squatting and DL in a long time b/c when I last was doing them, my GF (ex) said I was getting "too big" - so I left those out of my workout. so now that I'm without the ex, I'm trying to get all big again, and in the process a total pussy.

in defense of frorider, he's a total wuss.

I was spittin and sprayin on the mirror in front of the rack, so don't feel bad.......
