Friday Rant

Dumper Humper
And I thought this was going to be a start of a good weekend!

First, the contractor on my house calls me. He's trying to get work permits from the DC government to start the renovations on my house. He needs drawings for my new electrical system in order to secure the permits.

I do not have these, he is basically asking me for something he should already have. My contractor is asking ME for this? I am a home owner, not an electrical engineer.

I am attempting to write up a lesson plan for a road march we are conducting next weekend for my army reserve unit. This is my first time working on a road march, and I am making progress, but without the help from others. Have tried to solicit input from other NCO's, but no luck. All I get is "give it your best shot". I feel like I am being set up for failure.

Lastly, these IMF protestors are a pain in the ass. I have to run the guantlet just to get into the main building, and that's just security. Saw a mass of college age kids marching down 14th street chanting anti-capitalist shit. If you don't like it, move to fucking North Korea!

Much better now:D Thanks!

hey Big Bitch! LOL, hell no, you're talking about a bunch of REMF reservists. The planned march is around 2 to 2 1/2 miles. We are doing alot of other field expedient shit out there. Setting up a secure perimeter, road march, some tactical satellite commo setup. Good training, but never enough time to do it all.

The good thing is the Saturday night cookout! So much for light and noise discipline that night :D

How much weight ya'll packing? Full combat load? 2 to 2 1/2 miles is WEAK...but yeah ya'll are reservists....;) What's the rest time....generally on conditioning humps rest 10 mins for every hour humped.

That's the rest time I have put in for, but some of these guys may be screaming for longer rests. :D Given that we have a short time frame though, we make keep it short 5 to 10 min.

We are only going to use the alice pack with frame, NBC gear and entrenching tool. Maybe a couple of other items, but nothing near 40 lbs.

I think we are doing this more for fun than actual training, although some of the AGR types want to be hard core, down to the last detail.
