This is some messed up shit right here. Somehow a company sued everybody who posted on the net that they weren't happy with the service provided.

Novak maintains that Resler, who happens to be a computer science professor in Richmond, Va., hacked into his computers. Resler maintains that he wasn’t hacking — he says he was able to access his order information, after the legal fight began, through a security hole in Novak’s e-commerce system.

This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. It has to do with someone being a dumbass and using his computer knowledge in the wrong way. This is what gives computer people a bad name... oh no... make them mad and they will hack your computer!

"Freedom of speech" would have been enough to get him off the hook, as it did everyone else. He screwed up when he abused a security hole. bad, bad move.
