I laughed when I saw the video. Sorry, guess I braced myself for something extreme and unsettling.

Okay, this was really bugging me (I'm not really good at letting shit go until I find the reasons/answers, in case anyone hasn't noticed).
See, if the man's neck had been broken his body would have stopped moving -- human beings are not chickens. The video quality is shitty (due to the fact it was enlarged when whoever wanted to send it viral cropped the reference to the original site, see farther down) and it DOES look like his head is turned around, actually you can see his head is way back, as if he was looking up at the sky (again, from the seizure). It takes a HELL of a LOT of force to twist someone's head around to the back.
I have heard of some very weird moving seizures, and I believe this is just such a case. I've found a cleaner version of the clip, though smaller, but you see the original reference to www.alraed.com:

AS BEST AS I CAN GOOGLE (and trust me, I googled every frigging combination of "soccer seizure flip, etc" that you could imagine), this seems to be what happened:
The clip is from a match 3 (edit, or four) years ago between two second division Saudi Arabian Football clubs, Al-Raed FC (in red) and Hajer FC (white), the Hajer player was hit in the side of the head (ear?) and suffered a seizure and had to be taken to hospital breifly, but he lived and actually played the very next game for Hajer.
Fact of the matter, truth is stranger than fiction.

Well shit guys you coulda just asked me, I'm the EF resident saudi.
Anyway, what musclemom said is correct, it was a game between two crapy second division clubs, he got hit really hard on the side of the head, had a seizure, his head didn't twist around lol, and he's still alive.
