What a bunch of crap ...

Well, the second TV, which just happened to a 5 month old one I just bought ... it fried the video input. How the f does that happen? Everything else works. Picture, sound, cable ... but when I went to play some xBox ... there was so picture.

And comcast is fixing my modem tomorrow.

Yeah that was one sweet storm last night....

I assume you weren't using a surge protector?

I have my computer and its many peripherals hording my surge protector. The tube is just in the outlet.

Note to self: Something to think about after I get it repaired ...

Actually double up your surge protectors and use them on any electronic device you have of value.

Also get a UPS if you do work at home that is critical to your job. (uniterupted power supply)

Yeah, definately worth considering. I've got 3 surge strips in my room alone for my PC and all it's accompanying shit, my laptop and it's shit, and my networking stuff (cable modem, router, hub), TV, receiver and all the rest...................my room's an electrical mishap waiting to happen.
