Girl Scout cookies are like heroine to me. I can't have them in the house so I just threw them down the drain and hurried up and ran the disposal. Our little neighbor girls hit us up for them last month and I caved and bought some. They came in yesterday and had been calling my name.

Now I feel like a bad mom for not having cookies around for my kids. WTH is wrong with me??? Cookies aren't good for them either.

I am bad like you. When I let the kids go shopping with me I don't allow them to buy anything that mommy likes. LOL. I don't not like they have good kid stuff, but just stear them into the direction of something I could care less about I hate having good snacks in my house. When I am busy it is not a problem, but on weekends I tend to think "one won't hurt". I did not buy GS cookies this yr.lol

Same here...the chubby lady at work is always selling them. I used to buy them and to help out then give them away.

If you read the ingredients in them, you will not want to eat them.

I feel you, as I used to be in the same boat. I used to have to have "the whole box" or "the whole bag" of whatever. So I just wouldn't keep the stuff in the house. Then I had a truck load of kids and that ended that! LOL I know this will sound odd, perhaps, but you just have to learn to have a couple and be done. Every now and then you will still go over board and eat yourself sick and you won't do it again for a looooooooong ass time.

Trust me when I tell you. That once you start to eat cleaner, you feel physically better. (This isn't about psychological - it is purely blood-sugar and bloat related.) and when you go back to your old ways you get sick quick and learn to put the crack pipe down and just back away from the counter.

Silver: ya know? I feel bad sometimes not buying my kids processed foods more because that crap is really "in" with the other preschoolers but they'll survive. All the other kids have little mini stacks of pringles and my kids are munching on a flax chip But even those tempt me.

This is SO true. Especially since you've already had your guts rearranged to conquor the weight problem in the first place. I just can't handle the sugar physically. I do not regret throwing them away nor do I regret supporting my little GS friends. Next time they can keep the cookies though.

I DO THIS. I bought over 40 bucks and brought them to the local soup kitchen. I have done this since Bri was in the GS's.

Don't know how this happened, but, one box of Thin Mints musta jumped outta the donation box and landed in my freezer- lol Dear God, they reallly rock when they are frozen. Gotta enjoy the white death once in awhile though.

I have huge issues with the GSA. Did you know that they only give the clubs 37 CENTS for each box sold? I hate the crooks making $$$ off lil girls. I guess they gotta pay those big wigs running GSA. Shameful.
