is Fort Lauderdale nice?

Never been there too. I've seen some photos and it is beautiful. The beach is a matter of short strolls opposite from the street.
I have a friend there that sent me some postcards outlining the "territory" of the beaches eg: certain sections are notoriously for retirees, old peeps, gay areas, college kids etc. Interesting.

He also mentioned some of the restaurants as the main gathering places like: Hooters, Maxs on Beach, Cheeseburgers, Fat Tuesdays, Spirit of Ireland..Cindereallas Deli (<= he said it sucked)

I would definitely love to visit that place sometimes. Cheap food, affordable living, the beach, gorgeous weather.

Hell yeah girls from broward county are hot as hell! I can't go to the beach there...the temptation is too much...

We have a home about 25 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale. Just like any city, there are beautiful parts, and butt nasty ghetto parts.

It is far preferable to Miami in my opinion. The beach is pretty cool for being so easy to get to.

Always liked Ft Lauderdale while disliking Miami.
