Forget steroids, try tiger bones!

Never mind about taking hormones or getting cortisone shots:

I've got patellar tendonitis and my Chinese training partner gave me some traditional Chinese medicine to help. It's a patch that you stick to the affected bodypart. The pack had a picture of a golden cat on the cover and I jokingly asked him:

"Not made with real tigers is it?"

his face dropped and he very seriously said

-"NO. In China if you kill tiger you get 30 years in prison."

"Wow, " I said "just as well, really."

-"So we make it with lepoard bones instead."

I'd already stuck it to my knee by that point! I've got to wear it for 24 hours so I'll let you know how it goes... :verygood:

why don't they make medicine out of ...........nevermind...........i just think i'd rather have more tigers around.

coming from an asian, it has mentholatum in it. topical analgesic, its in all our Chinese medicine. but hell Placebos work too.

Yeah, I can smell the menth in it.

I do use two differnet anti-I tablets and two differnet gels as well as ice and a heat massager, I am registered with a physio therapist, a sports therapist, a doctor of oesteopathy, an ART practitioner plus whatever the NHS has to offer.

I just didn't want to turn down my friend's offer and I figured that it couldn't hurt.

(i love genuinely cats too! :( )

in order for tiger bones to really work you have to use them in conjunction with dragons breath, unfortuneatly it's nearly impossible to come by nowadays.............. ;)

yeah i think it is tiger balm. U can can get in two concentration t, one is white paste which is mild and there is the red one which is some crazy sh#t. When i have a block nose i put it on on the outside and believe me it burns ur skin.

But i am not sure for inflammation.

REMIDS ME OF:
Q: "Do you want some girl-scout cookies?"
A: "Hmm... Are they made with REAL girl-scouts?"

Bingo. I use this stuff too, (the falming red stuff) but it isn't made of tiger or leopard bones!

My jar has active ingredients as menthol and campher. Other ingredients are mint and clove oil. No Tiger anything in tiger balm. And don't rub your eyes or touch your balls after using this stuff. You will know why if you do.

lol, just when i had a routine started... i have to go out and find a dragon.shit.

DUDES!

its not tiger balm!

Its some kind of methalated patch that has a combination of herbs (and probably some nasty chemical-plant stuff too) and as part of the traditional Chinese medicine, they mix in the bones of a LEPOARD.

The golden cat on the packet that I thought was a tiger is a lepoard. Thing is they used to use tigers, but now there are less than 1,000 tigers in China.

I'm not saying that the lepoard will have any effect, just some crazy shit right?
