anyone have a tribal band on there top of there forearm how do they look im thinking about getting one there i already have one on my upper left arm want to get on my upper right forearm any thoughts?

a guy i work with has one on the forearm, it's a killer tribal, extremely eye catching.

the forearm is a sorta hard core location IMHO, harder to cover up (with clothing) than a bicep location.

it's always gonna be on display, not always a good thing.

my state police contacts tell me that forearm tattoos are associated with gangs.

of course, cops are not the most liberal people when it comes to ink.

i have several tribal and celtic tats, all can be covered up with normal clothes if i desire.

i'm not trying to talk you outta that location, dude. just think about the future and it always being there. personally, i think forearm tats are the shitz.

have you considered doing tribal bands on one or both ankles? this is an unusual, eyecatching location, can be displayed when u want and covered up when needed.

Say homes, I would get it on the forearm like you are thinking, its a great place that makes a statement, my next one will be on the back of my neck then my left forearm, do this. peace

Suits cover up the forearm tatts so it doesn't matter. I have some tribal work on the front of my forearm. It isn't a band though.

Depends on what type of career you are pursuing. If it involves ties & suits, bad idea.

I saw a guy in downtown Chicago a few years ago that made me LMAO. He was the epitome of "tight-ass." Quality suit, Allen-Edmunds wingtips, tasteful Movado, white button-down, red tie, CEO hair, etc. and...he had a fuckin' pot leaf tatooed on his neck HAA HAA HAAAAA! I wondered how many times that guy looked in the mirror and thought "what the hell did I do that for?"

(disclaimer: Green weed, it does a body good).

I wasn't talking about a Maitre d' postition at some restaurant or selling shoes at the mall, I meant if you're aspiring to have a corporate career that may eventually lead to becoming a Partner, or upper management, you will inevitably find yourself in elbow rubbing events like golf tournaments, company trips, or business casual meetings where a forearm tat will be exposed. I'm not an advocate of how corporate bullshit politics work, but I recognize the game and know how to play it. It will always be an issue in a typical corporate environment if you are upwardly mobile. Not to say you can't overcome having an exposed tat, but it's one more thing to be self-conscious of, and who knows how that 60 year old Sr. VP of Fucknuts (who may be responsible for your promotion) may view it.
