Forearm Strain from Preacher Curls

What am I doing wrong? Everytime I do preacher curls, the muscles in my forearms feel like they are going to rip off the bone. I use an EZ curl bar to help out on the grip, and I keep my wrists inline with the foreams (No limp wristed curls for me!) The weight is good, since I get a good pump in my biceps. Do I need to wrap my forearms?

What gives?
 
This is frequently posted bor. Check out a search. If you don't feel like doing that, I'll say:

1) Happens to most everyone
2) Lower the weight a bit, or change hand position, or work on form, or pick a different exercise
3) It should heal itself. Mine did.
 
FZ, thanks! I did a search and all this other bullshit came up, so I thought I would ask anyway. Much appreciated.
 
Same here ... it felt like shin splints in my forearms. I just stopped doing that particular exercise and let it heal for a good while. Now I'm ok.
 
Yep - very common. Stop curling entirely for awhile, then go back to just dbs. Then you can go back to bar curls and it should be fine.
