i was watching the news the other day at work and i heard that in some state they are making it so that parents can not refuse treatment on there kids...so like if your kid has cancer and you dont want to do radiation you cannot say no...they do it any ways....how bs is that.....they are my kids i have a right to make a choice...Any one know what state that is in?????

yea but ive heard of crazy ass situations where the parents refuse cause they beleive in faith healing..when doctors can guarentee 100% survival rating....in that case this would be a good thing...

When your actions are going to harm the child, the state has to act in the "best interests" of the child.

This is in the category of child abuse. Ask yourself: I have the right to torture and beat up my kid?

At least with torture, the kid will probably still survive. This is life and death stuff which is even more serious then torture or even sex abuse.

We cannot sit idly and let dumb parents let their children suffer due to their own agendas. If the kid dies, the blood is on our hands for sitting there by the sidelines and watching it happen.

or course how many cases of this exist?

vs how many cases where it could be used to take control out of the parents hands?

just a thought.

This is why we need some sort of licensing system or standardized testing annually to ensure that only capable people are breeding.

Short of any Orwellian solution there is just no good way to ensure that all parents will do what's right all the time. And in turn there is no good Orwellian system that will ensure the same.

we're all doomed

Of course no one wants the Gov't to be able to make decisions..and i especially am one of them...but for the crazies out there....ther should be some sort of legislature put in place where the children can be helped.....
