What would be the difference in doing 2 sets of 50 reps or 10 sets of 10 reps...with the weight being equal? Would one have more benefit over the other? Should one be done with more weight? The exercise I had in mind was Hammer Curls. And one more question, what are the differences / benefits of curling both arms at the same time VS right arm, left arm, right arm, left arm, etc? Thanks!

i think that you need to trim down on the reps. Even on a really high rep day i dont recommend my clients to go above 20 reps and that means that after 20 reps they cant do the next rep. Make sure that you are getting a good pump in body part that you are training and always remember that form is the key! If you dont have good form then your aren't working that muscle to its fullest potential. Now as for the second question: It all depends on the person. Doing it one arm or both arms at the same time (in a hammer) curl essential works the same way, but it all depends on what you feel more comfortable in doing. It seems to me that doing alternating hammer curls you can put more concentration in doing the wieght then when doing both at the same time. hope i answered your questions

If you can do 100 reps...the weight is too light to get any huge benefit out of it.

Do them one arm at a time...if you do both, you'll probably end up shifting your body weight and using momentum.

If you can be disciplined, do them with both arms...then when you start to get tired, switch over to one arm at a time so you can give the off arm a little rest between reps.

50 reps equals cardio,2-15 reps equals resistance training to build muscle. Refer to Kreb cycle if you need a scientific answer,I do not want to bored anyone specially if I am not getting paid for .good luck.

Straight out of Arnold's Encyclopedia "Both research and experience have shown that bodybuilders get the most results using a weight in each exercise that represents about 70% to 75% of their one rep maximum."
