I don't know shit about cars... but dballers story was funny as hell. I can just see him clunking alongside the track in those work boots. And a fucking diving board on the back of that car???

did these bling bling losers have on those damn tennis caps and baggy shorts?

The diving board was a reference to those stupid wings on the back of the cars. The kids were all wearing Tommy shorts.. with Nike visors.. and Old Navy.. or Abrecrombie Fitch shirts. Some were wearing the college football hats too.

KAYNE... what about those e-mails. I thought you liked the e-mails I sent saying I liked you??

Yo Kayne, you spelled the website wrong. What is it?

DBALLER
I DIDNT GET A CHANCE TO READ YOUR POST YET FOR I AM TYRING TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION. ACTUALLY, I'VE WAITED ALL SEMESTER TO DO A RESEARCH PROJECT AND ITS DUE TOMORROW. I'LL READ WHAT HAPPENED AT THE TRACK IN A FEW.

AND STOP SENDING ME DIRTY EMIALS. I'M NOT, NOR WILL I EVER BE, GAY. JUST BECAUSE YOU CHOSE (YES, GAYNESS IS A CHOICE) TO BE GAY DOESNT MEAN THAT I SOMEHOW WILL BREAK MY SEXUAL MORALS TO JOIN YOU IN THE BEDROOM!!!

my family won't buy a car that's not german... and i stand by that 100%

german engineering is far superior to anything else. The only other car that compares are ferraris

I would like to see Detroit make a 3.0 liter engine like the Toyota Supra TT that can handle 900RWHP on stock internals.

Will never happen, metal alloys are a mystery to American engineers, they have to make big displacement engines to compensate for the lack of technology. And incidentally, there is more to a car then going in a straight line.

A Nissan 300ZX TT will put out 400 HP at the crank with just and exhaust, chip and Cone intake. And that's on a 3.0 Liter.

A Toyota Supra TT WILL put out 400RWHP with some free mods also on a 3.0 power plant.

RX7 1.3 liter rotary, is good for 250 hp stock. You do not want to mess with it when modified PROPERLY.

All of those cars have AMAZING potential to smack almost any detroit muscle car. Even IF they lost a quarter mile race they would still outhandle and just plain outshine the Detroit muscle. And i do not need to mention they can be used as reliable daily commuters.

After all is said and done, there's no way a honda civic will beat almost any classic muscle car. Sure if you're racing a stock stripped down model. But that's not what we're talking about. Also appearance goes a long way. Muscle cars are timeless and attract attention wherever they go. They show class. On the other hand riceburners scream adolescence. They're as common as any other car these days. You'll never see anyone who looks like they have an ounce of class walk out of one of them. It's always some thug wanna be who thinks he can take on the world because he has NOS...

None of the cars i mentioned are RICE. Those are serious high end machines. They are classy and very sleek. Those cars get very many stares and plenty of attention. I would think that any car with 900-1200 RWHP deserves respect.

Also those are FAR, FAR from a Civic. A civic is a lowend car that is cheap enough to be afforded by the masses and many many kids. The Supra, 300ZX and RX7 are far from a civic.

I don't know about you all, but I could handle owning a new inmport. An inported Benz. The new models have over 400 hp!!

yeah.. I have watched these twin turbo cars. They do not have enough torque to run with a muscle car. Now not all muscle cars were fast. But on the drag strip these cars do not hold a candle. If you do not believe me.. lets take $10,000 and you go get a rice car and I will buy an american car.. then you will see who outshines who.

Before you waste breath trying to argue thisa point to me.. let me tell you that drag cars are what I do. It has been my hobby since I was 12. If rice cars were faster I would own one.

Now to give credit where credit is due.. I have ridden in a twin turbo supra.. and a RX7 that ran in the 13's in the 1/4 that is pretty quick for the street. But I have a buddy who bought a 1972 Chevy Nova and built a 502 Big Block and the car runs in the 10's... on yeah.. and he spent about $20,000 less.

(a 4cyl supercharged car WILL NEVER make the torque of a V8 built in the same manner. Torque is what wins drag racing.)

I see all of the cars you mention on a daily basis, so I don't know how much attention and stares they could possibly get. Seeing someone getting excited about seeing a Toyota supra would be pretty pathetic. Sure those cars are far from a civic. But they also can't stand up to a classic muscle in most categories...
