The best perk is that you don't always have to work to get paid. but come on no ones interested.

imo there are absolutly no perks in the military eccept for the when you get out and apply for a job.

but i would have never ran into gear if i hadnt joined, so there is a perk.

There are plenty of perks. I've been in the Marines since 89 and yes we (I) do get to shoot people without reprimand. Least I got to last year and will again soon as next deployment comes up. Not to mention gear is so much cheaper overseas.
