football and gear.

i was just wondering if ya'll thought most of, some of, or hardly any of them use or have used gear?
i mean even if some are not using (like linemen in particular) these guys are massive. only about 25 years ago it was very rare to find any these guys weighing in at over 300 lbs, now anything under 3 is conciderd small. look at larry allen for the cowboys. weighs 340 or so, benches 700 lbs and squats 900! are pepole just getting bigger each generation (i mean taller too) in general? i know im 5 inches taller then my father and hes 3 taller then his was.
anyways i was looking at the skill position players on sat from college then today from the pro's, there is a HUGE difference in muscle mass, even on the rookie NFL players. my opinion from the college guys was, i dont think many of them use gear. on the linemen its hard to tell cause they are so massive, but at the skill positions where you need to be a lot leaner the guys on sat. just didnt have the vascularity nor muscle maturity of somone who use juice. my conclusion of the NFL players is most of them have used! i also realize the NFL is the cream of the crop of the college guys, plus they now have all the time in the world to work on building muscle.
i just wanted to see what some of your opinions were on this topic, plus if there is anyone in here who has played at least college ball, what the truth is here?

white guys in the nfl, yes, many of them juice. black guys, not many of them at all- just very good genetics. i play college f.b. (i-AA) and things are the same way here.

Bases on my experiences...they all use gear...well at least 90%+(kickers, punter, and the like do not typically use). Yes, they use in college as well....black and white, old and young, tall and short. They are performance enhancers, hence the benefit.

Enjoy!

I'd have to say that this statement has to be one of the dumbest i've heard in a long time.

are any of you guys old enough to remember jimmy the "greek" he was a handicapper for cbs in the 80's... he got fired for saying that afro-americans were "bread" to be muscluar and strong, so they can work harder. i dont think its politaclycorrect to say this, but if that was the case i can see them being physicly dominant.
so i have to disagree with the statment that this was the dumbest, its just might not be right to say!

i personally have worked for an NFL team and its estimated over 50% of the players in the league take steroids. the thing is they take reasonable dosages(nothin crazy) and they have doctors monitoring everything for them. i also play college ball and steroid use is pretty common there as well.

I second that!

I work with a guy that played "Free Safety" in NFL for 2 years and then went to play over in Canada for the CFL and I literally just had this discussion with him the other day. Basically he said its not about who is using and who is not, but rather what teams has better connections. For one these guys get warned of drug tests in advance, because everyone that works in the NFL even down to the ticket booths and administrative offices is usually a family member of someone. Plus there is so much behind the scenes BS that goes on with prescriptions its not even funny. I dont know if this is true but he heard some guy was diagnosed with some muscular disorder that he was allowed prescriptions for GH. He said Insulin is very very very big in the NFL something about it not being detectable in tests because they cannot differentiate it from youre natural insulin and also that its gone within a matter of hours leaving no traces...

....Come on dude, lets not turn this into a white men cant jump thread, there are just as many white genetically gifted men as there are black genetically gifted. some choose to capitalize on their advantages and some choose to sit on the couch and watch tv all day. dont stereotype. really has no place here I dont think.

ok....who saw the game tonight? donte culpepper (cant spell it) is 6'4 270 lbs and is fast as fuck! on the otherside was mcnair hes also 240+ and can run.....both these guys are african americans. you just dont see white qbs who can are built like that and can run and throw like these guys. maybe farvre back in the day, but was still nothing in terms of speed size and strength compared to these guys
