Folks In Denver....

I'm sitting here thinking what I'd pack first if I were in these people's shoes. Tooooo much stuff I'd want to take with me and not enough time to do it!

How terrible for these folks!

My in laws had their house burn down 5 weeks ago, they were all torn up about it at first until they saw how big the check was they're getting. My druggie MIL gets to now go out and buy all new stuff and do up a new house. She is just stumbling around shopping malls with utter glee!

South Denver isn't really in any fire danger, just the southern burb areas. But the fire is mostly in the foothills and will probably gobble up all the homes of the rich people who moved to the hills to get away from dirty dangerous Denver. Good call on their part.

Sunday was pretty creepy in Denver though. The smoke engulfed the city and filtered the sunlight. Everything was an eery orange color and there was a small amount of ash falling like snowflakes. Fuck that shit, I rented some movies and soaked my balls in the air conditioning.

This is going to be the worst year ever for forrest fires. It's so dry that they have no way of fighting them. The only hope now is for thunderstorms, but that's a mixed blessing because lighting sparks a lot of fires too. It's going to be a rough summer here.

I have a good friend and Co-Worker that has a new house and the fire came within 8 miles of his house before turning with the wind.

Our Company has several Huge facilities in the area including Deer Creek and Waterton.

Everyone is ready to evacuate and they are going to leave a few behind to shut down all the servers and such..

The hell with the server's...

We were in this situation here in Fl in 2000 and the first thing you grab vix is Pictures.
We packed all we could find into a Big rubbermaid container just in case we had to leave.

Everything else can be replaced. Grad those things that cannot be.
Pictures, family movies, heirlooms etc..

I'd let my furniture and lock box go up in smoke before I would the pic's for SURE! I guess at least they have some warning!

Very sad!

EVERYONE and their mom is calling and e-mailing wondering if I'm on fire. I'm pretty far south and cant see shit except smoke.

Froider, Have you been up in the moutains at all? Lake Dillon looks like a fucking desert. We need rain BAD! I'm heading to Durango this weekend, So I'll be right next to burning fire #3

fro and LAX ... it was fuckin' weird on Sunday, no? I didn't mind the haze and the color as much as the stink. My wife read that people flying in to DIA could smell it and flight crews had to assure passengers that the planes were not on fire.

Yeah My Girlfriend had been bugging my to wash my jeep (they're meant to be dirty), So being a dipshit, I decide to do it on sunday, as I pulled out of the carwash, the ash began to come down pretty heavy and stick all over my car !!!!

I like the movie Things to do in Denver When You're Dead.
the chick in it is waaay hot.
I've been in Denver a few times, but was never dead - so I never got around to those things.
boat drinks.
