Flip Flops Vs Sandals

Some things I will do for style and being and hip but wearing flipflops ain't one of them. My 17 year old daughter said I need to wear flip flops because sandals are out of style. Well, I tried them being the cool dad I am and they SUCK!!! They hurt your toes(why wouldn't they after all there is a piece of plastic between them) and they are about as functional as a unick in a whore house.

While my teva sandals are awesome. They don't hurt my feet or my toes at all. I can actually climb rocks and jump off cliffs in the water(and they still don't come off)

So what about you do you wear flipflops or sandals.

Yes.. Faggy..

I wear Flip Flops out of neccessity only, so I don't burn or cut my feet..

Kind of like these, thick soles with the wide nylon straps vs the cheap thin rubber crap.. O.P. brand I think

Like I said when we jump off of rocks at lake travis they come in very handy. There is no way you could climb those cliff with flip flops on and sandals sure do look cooler than diving booties.

For cyclists it's considered de riguer to wear baggy khaki shorts and sport sandals with thin low ankle high socks.....it's like the unspoken uniform.

I have this argument with my boyfriend all the time. He thinks those Teva sandals are cool. He'd wear them everywhere if he could. I think they look gay. Besides they were the thing to wear years ago not now. I finally convinced him to wear other types of sandals and/or flip flops but like Curling he bitched about the pain they caused his toes. i wear flip flops alot they go with just about anything and are really comfy if you buy the right ones
sandles are hott if they are with the fashion trend right now

i wear both flip-flops and adidas sandles at different times. just depends on what im wearing and what i find first when leaving the house. they are comfortable and convienient and LOTS of people around here wear 'em.

That's true. That's exactly his side of the argument too. He thinks he shouldn't listen to my shoe advice since I wear shoes that sometimes hurt my feet just to look cute. At least I don't bitch about it though.
