What is the purpose of this? In regards to bodybuilding?
And what is a "standard" dose? I read when I searched that it's around 2-3 tablespoons. Anyone know what this is in mgs? I can get this in gel cap form and was curious.
YUP! but not only that... essential fatty acids are needed for optimal intra -cellular function, and that includes the hypertrophy of muscle cells.
It also helps to maintain a decent cholesterol/hdl profile and prevents the accululation of arterial plaque to some degree.
Eskimo's once had a diet that was extremely high in omega 3....they also ate tons of saturated fat and never got heart disease until they adopted a western diet and life style.
Flax is loaded with omega 3 and also has the powerful anti cancer nutrient called "ligans". The flax oil you buy does not have the ligans.
In fact the human body needs ONLY essentail fatty acids and absolutely no saturated fat.(land animal fat etc)
I have taken flax seed oil and cobo omega 3 and 6 oils but now I pretty much stick with finely ground golden flax seed(electric coffee grinder) mixed into my protein drinks.
Should be an essential part of every body builders diet.
Udo's Choice I feel is a superior product. It has flax, primrose, borage oils. It is a blend of the EFA's you want. Kind of the Sustanon 250 of natural oils. EFA's also help to regulate your hormones as well as every other reaction going on in your body, to a smaller degree.
