I thought so! I dig that song! In XXX they sing in English tho, don't they? What language were they singing in the video on this thread? German?

I think in XXX they are singing it in German
 
the show i saw they had flame throwers strapped to their faces....it was awesome

Prof. Dr. h.c. Ferdinand Porsche (September 3, 1875 – January 30, 1951) was an Austrian automotive engineer. Porsche was born to German-speaking parents in Vratislavice nad Nisou, Bohemia which is now part of the city of Liberec in the Czech Republic, known also as Maffersdorf in German. Porsche is best known for designing the original Volkswagen Beetle and for his contributions to advanced German tank designs: Tiger I, Tiger II and the Elefant. Adolf Hitler honored Porsche in 1937 when he was awarded the German National Prize for Art and Science, one of the rarest decorations in the Third Reich.

Porsche's son, Ferry Porsche, is the eponym for Porsche automobiles, initially based to a large extent on the Volkswagen (Beetle) design

The name Porsche is pronounced /pɔʁʃə/ with an audible "e" in German, "PORSH-uh", not "PORSH" or "PORSCH-A", possibly related to Czech "Boreš" [boresh], originally an old Slavic name.
 
Paul "Papa" Hausser (October 7, 1880 - December 21, 1972) was an officer in the German Army, achieving the high rank of lieutenant-general in the inter-war Reichswehr. After retirement from the regular Army he became the "father" (thus the nickname “Papa”) of the Waffen-SS and one of its most eminent leaders. Battling in both the Eastern and Western fronts of World War II, he was seriously wounded twice, losing an eye in the former.

Hausser served in the Polish Campaign of 1939 as an observer with the mixed Wehrmacht/SS Panzer Division "Kempf". In October 1939 SS-VT was formed as a motorized infantry division with Hausser in command. He led the division through the French campaign of 1940 and in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa. For his services in Russia, Hausser was awarded the Knight's Cross in 1941 and the Oak Leaves in 1943 (he was to get the Swords for his services in Normandy) and was severely wounded, losing an eye. After recovering he commanded the newly formed SS-Panzer Korps (renamed II. SS Panzer Korps in June 1943) and against Hitler's explicit orders withdrew his troops from Kharkov to avoid encirclement, only to recapture the city in March 1943. He led Das Reich, Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler and Totenkopf during the Battle of Kursk. After Kursk, his Korps was reformed (substituting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd SS Panzer Divisions with the 9th and 10th SS Panzer Divisions) and sent to France where he commanded them in the early stages of the Normandy Campaign. After the death of the commander of 7. Armee - Friedrich Dollmann - Hausser was promoted to the command of 7. Armee. During the Falaise encirclement, Hausser remained with his troops until he was wounded (shot through the jaw).

Nightfighting Panthers

Some few Panthers were equipped with special infrared devices for night combat. The "Heereswaffenamt" WaPrüf 8, in cooperation with the AEG was dealing with this kind of optical equipment since 1936, but devolopment was discontinued and the decision to further investigate in this area wasn´t made until the Allies gained total airsuperiority in 1943. From now on much energy was invested in the project.

The results of these investigations, which were lead by Ministerialrat Dr.-Ing. H.Gaertner Heereswaffenamt/WaPrüf 8, were, that in 1943 the Wehrmacht equipped some few Panthers with 200-mm infra-red searchlights FG 1250 and a BIWA (Bildwandler - image converter), which converted the infra-red image into a visible reproduction. In the first tests at the armoured forces school at FALLINGBOSTEL (North Germany) near HANNOVER the crews trained to drive and to aim at night. Admittedly the searchlight range wasn´t more than 600 metres, limiting the long range advantage of the excellent KwK42 75mm/L70.

Some Panther G models were fitted with special exhaust pipes to reduce detection. All IR devices were ordered to be destroyed after a tank was lost. All devices were connected to stick grenades which were to be detonated by the last man abandoning.

Mid April 1945: More IR Panthers appeared towards the end of the war. Some were encountered by British armored units: one unit met some IR Panthers near Uelzen and after a one-sided fight, 1 British platoon of Comet tanks was annihilated.

Special night tactics were devised at the panzer school in Fallingbostel. 3 IR Panthers had welded on armored fences on engine decks shielding 3 grenadiers armed with MP44s serving as lookouts and armed with IR equipped MP44s ("Vampir"). The Panthers are lead by Sdkfz 251/21 "Falke" boarded by MP44 armed grenadiers. When attack is feasible, support comes from Sdkfz 251/20 60 cm "Uhu" IR searchlight.
 
They are my favorite workout music. BTW, had Germany focused production on the Pz IV and later the Panther they would have had a greater production run. Medium tanks were best for the Blitzkrieg doctrine.

actaully with fuel and manpower shortages they probably were better off building supertanks such as the tiger

their inventory was too diversified though
