I just cant seem to find anything about how much. I was taking 4-6 grams daily before becoming pregnant, now I'm down to 4 as I read something about mercury and fish oils???
Hmmm - might depend on the type of fish they get the oil from. Check with doctor - ask him/her. They will be your best bet.
Also - there is a supplement out there for preg women that has the DHA-whatever that is good for baby's brain. Expecta, I think? Can't remember. But it is expensive.
flax oil would be a great choice.. still omega 3 and you dont have to worry about the mercury.. both my sisters are pregnant and they having some flax oil
