As I make my attempt to realign my world from a great loss. The first thing that I encounter is the arrival a package, this is usually a good thing in fact I did not pay much attention to it’s arrival due to lots of family around so it went into the drawer with the rest of the mail 2 days ago.
First, it is an envelope with light padding which I can feel the contents plain as anything, I don't want to describe in detail and I am sure you know what I mean.
Second, the envelope is made in is USA (not an issue under normal circumstances), 8 x 5 it comes via 1st class air (no signature, necessary and yet reliable, so they say)I have ordered similar a 100 times by various means but not like this and it is from a new organization. Usually, by the time they arrive they have different postal marks on it and it looks as though it has been through the postal system of a couple countries. However, this is clean as if it was stamped by a neighbor and dropped in my box. Not one mark, not even a US routing stamp, crayon mark, nothing. Christ it is barely crumbled.
Third, the package has a small white tag over the seal on the back which says EMMANTINA,GLYFADA,ATHENS GREECE. The postage stamp is OK, also Greek. It says EA,HINKH AHMOKPATIA HELLAS. That is not perfect, there are some symbols I cannot reproduce, but it is Greek with 2 ladies and a man in what appears to be traditional farming culturally defined clothing. That is cool but the stamp on the back I have never seen. But again my concern is nothing stamped from any postal service, not a mark.
Forth, my name is spelled wrong but only by one letter, but the city is incorrect and only reasonably close, and the zip is missing 1 digit.
My point is that, due to the shitty packaging alone I am surprised to have received it. However, just assume that goes unnoticed, but along with no return address (standard, but still a flag waver), wrong city, missing digit from zip, and still not one mark on it and yet it still makes it here in record time. Suspicious yes or no.
I don’t know why but even in a best case scenario, somewhere deep inside I am always surprised every time they make it through, even after all these years. But this one has my attention.
Any advice or comparable circumstances would be appreciated.
Also, thanks for the PC with many members and the votes of confidence. It has been a fucking nightmare week or so and I just do not need anymore shit right now, especially this!
