First post-- Question??

Ok so here it goes!

I've been a member for awhile now and have read almost everything here there is to read and I just thought I would ask your advise (or opinion) on something. I'll tell you about myself a bit and then get to what I want to know.

I am currently 5'11 or so and around the 280+ mark (sucks huh: worried: ahh not really), and my waist is about 46, arms 18, chest 52, upper legs 30, but who the F@#k cares right! I have been to 315 and down to 200. Where I feel HEALTHY and STRONG at is about here or 15lbs lighter. I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week and just stick to the basics. About an hour workout (and that's not standing around BS and screwing the pooch). When I got to the gym I put on the headset and im off to my own world, no one else is there!! I eat (plenty) but not as healthy as I would like to (im working on it though). I am trying to eat fruit and veggies instead of candy and crap! I like any kind of meat or carb for that matter but my diet isn't good.

So you’re saying who the hell cares right? Well I do! What I want (need) from all of you is a little REAL help. What I mean is that sure we can read mag. and look here for diets, workouts, and so on. But some of the stuff I don't think REAL people have the time to eat, or do. So what do I want (need)???

I am looking for a workout plan based on the 3-4 times a week I go to get as strong as freakily possible. Now not some plan that's impossible to do, but one that might work. I’m at 415 on my bench and really lacking the squats and dead lifts (but working at making that better).

Second is a diet. I mean a REAL diet. One that I get to eat! I work 13-14hr days 3-5 days a week (so that means that time for feeding is limited sometimes)! My wonderful wife try’s to keep me fed most of the time but I’m sure it's a tough job. So help me with a real diet, and not some gourmet crap'ola that I can't even find at Wal-Mart (yes folks that where us normal and slightly poor people shop)! And if I have to pass on the McD's dollar menu then where is a good place to eat out at (subway)??

Now I know some folks will be asses about these questions but hey, everyone is entitled to they option and to the rest that are truly tryin' to help, I SAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!

And yes I am fouscing on Power lifting and now trying to just be some PRETTY-BOY. I want to be HEALTHY and STRONG!!!

lol at the pic.

all excellent questions bro, especially the diet part. i am currently revamping mine.

first off, follow a basic westside program for squats and deadlift.

second, diet. if you currently weigh 280 lbs, you must be finding some time to eat, lol. now clean up the diet which can be the hard part. i recently hit the jackpot on some nutrition articles and while they're not exactly specific, they do tell you what NOT to do.

HERE are the articles

i am probably going to start a new thread about powerlifting and diet shortly so that could help also

if you have specific questions about training, go ahead and ask. or you could post up your training routine now. don't be afraid to ask

You didn't post your age, or i didn't see it, but 280 and a 46'' waist?? that's not good, you might not be at the age where you consider longevity, but you should and will one day. People in their 20's and 30's stroke out and have heart attacks more than you would think. There's a lot of simple changes you can make that aren't a diet scheme, things you just shouldn't do, like, eating fast food and drinking too many carbonated beverages. If you eliminated those two, you'll feel and eventuallly look better. Oh, yeah, one more thing, WATER and lots of it!
