ok, this is my first post here, im also a member of anabolicreview.com. my question is this;
after reading thru almost EVERY search result and reading this board for the past 4 months straight,

I have gotten some great gear "sources" from our mods here and on the other board.

Im not sure how allowable this part of my q is but here goes;

1. the source is located in U.K. and wants me to western union the money.

a. Im nervous as this would be my first online purchase
b. do you guys have any tips or hints to protect myself?
c. Ive never used western union before and not sure the process. what info do they need of the person im wiring the money to?

if anyone wants to email me or post here that would be GREAT!

I hope this wasnt a violation of board rules...i tried to keep the subject off the source, my q is more related to safety of online purchases and payment method procedures.

any and all input is GREATLY appreciated!!

I think it's ok, you have some very valid questions.

The only way you can 'protect' yourself is to just do source checks with several mods. After that, it is just a leap of faith. Once you send the money, don't expect to see it again. There is no BBB that will help you with this, nor will your credit card company. This is why source checks are so important.

And one other important thing, just because you do a source check does not mean you will get your stuff. The mods and vets vouching for these guys can only tell you about their past performance. They might turn scammer, get busted, etc. at any moment.

Of course people are going to have had customs problems. That's one reason why they are cheaper than domestics, otherwise, there would be no reason to order from them.

And nobody knows what all this terrorist stuff is going to do for overseas mail. Not to mention domestic.

And this shit has just begun.

For the western union stuff, just go to the place you are going to send from. It's pretty easy, you just fill out the form. No ID needed, unless you want to be able to pick it back up before your source picks it up.
