Hey guys. some of you know my story. My first meeting is tomorrow. For anyone that has had to attend a meeting, do you have to talk? or can u just sit in the corner and act like you dont exsist? I'm nervous as hell. i want to throw up just thinking about it.

i got caught buying some stuff from a pharmacy without a prescription. im in the medical field, so therefore, in order to keep my licsense. i have to attend these meetings once a week. yes its an addiction meeting of my peers once a week for a year. And they want meet to attend an AA/NA meeting once a week on an honors system.

If your job depends on this I'd strongly advise you to participate, the leader can relay any information to anyone. Most of the time your success is dependant on your participation. I would also be wary as to what charges may be pressed against you, that is illegal. What meds were you buying?

I attended an AA meeting once. It was required for a class. They asked people to introduce themselves if they wanted to. I didn't because I was only there for a class. No one made me do anything. The coffee is good at AA meetings...lol.

yeah i know. i was laughing all the way to the lab when they had me do a hair test. it wasnt so funny after its all said and done. All the hoops they make u jump through is very expensive. the Addictionologist was 1500.00 and then all the test added up to 700.00. Those sports panel test are not cheap.

thats how i felt. But it was signature pharmacy and i was working in the ED across the street (maybe supplying a few friends here and there). but the pharmacy had employed two of my hospitals pharmacist. and if u know the story behind signature pharmacy (MD august issue pg196, and the Benoit case) that place got busted pretty hard. im just a small fish in a big pond. I could have lost my liscense. And for the record..i do not use any drugs at this time without a prescription. and i cant sell u any shit either. so stop the PM's for shit.
