First DNP Cycle

New member
A little over a year ago I decided to get off my fat ass and get in shape. I've lost 30 pounds and need to lose 40 more. It's been hard but have cleaned up my diet, do plenty of cardio and, even though I get embarrassed at the GYM because I'm a weakling, I lift weights too.

I want to take a body building class at my local community college but everywhere I read, it's recommended to get your body fat down to at least 14%ish. After much research, I've decided to take the DNP plunge so that I can start a class ASAP.

Here are my stats:
Age: 27
Weight: 227
Height: 6 ft.

Since this is my first time, I"m going be VERY cautious and take a short cycle just to learn what my body can tolerate. My buddy is getting the DNP and I should have it by Saturday. I will be posting on a daily basis.

Here's the plan:

Days 1-2: 200mg
Days 3-7: 400mg
Days 8-10: 500mg (ONLY if I can tolerate the sides. If not, 400mg.)

Cardio and Weights EOD

Supplements:
Multi-vitamin
Magnesium
Vitamin E
Vitamin C
Calcium
Potassium
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Lutein

Your comments, suggestions and critisms are welcome.

Where is your bf now? Just interested cause I am 6'1 225, about the same spot you are... I only want to drop about 10 pounds though..

I've done several DNP cycles. My bottom line is that DNP doesn't do anything for you that low carb dieting doesn't do. Most people put the weight right back on after a DNP cycle because they haven't changed how they eat... and if they cna change how they eat they don't need DNP.

Dude, why dont u just go ECA instead? SEN Metabolic fuel, is still being sold and is ECA-Y. Works great and much safer than DNP. DNP really isnt the first sup you should use starting out in my opinion. I dont even like Clen. Cardio 45mins, 5-7 days a week and 4 days of good solid lifting, with a good healthy diet, is the safest way to get results and stay HEALTHY.

Try ECA or Lipoflame first, much safer options.

Day .5

Got on the scale this morning and came in at 225. That makes sense because my weight does tend to fluctuate. Yes, I am sometimes full of shit... LMAO

I got the dnp - dinitrophenol - - dinitrophenol - today and took my first 100mg capsule with dinner. Followed the supplements and did 45 minutes of cardio at the GYM. I'll be keeping a nutrition log from here on out. Wish me luck!

automaticj5: My body fat is about 21-23%. I have a scale in the restroom that gives a readout. I know it's not the most accurate piece of equipment but it's all I have to work with.

sofageorge: Thanks, I appreciate that. I have changed my diet --like night and day-- and I have been losing weight. The thing is I want to take a bodybuilding class ASAP so I want to lose weight quickly. I have changed my lifestyle. Once I finish knocking off the weight, I will keep it like that so I never have to take DNP again. Trust me, I didn't go through endless hours of cardio to piss it away.

djlegacy2k1: Yeah, I understand. I am being cautious. If I start to have really bad sides, I will definitely stop the DNP. With the research I've done, it seems as if a person uses DNP responsibly, there should be little health risks.

you can still take that class at 21-23%bf thats not obese, and it will be alot easier to shed some fat with the extra muscle you put on....hold off on the dnp, ive never used it personelly and i might try it some day but its not your average diet pill. id use it to get past a serious platu or somthing

and stop looking at the scale.

Day 1

I've read it takes a couple days to feel the side effects of DNP. I feel fine and not necessarily any warmer. I had a 100mg capsule in the morning and another one with dinner. I went to the GYM did 45 minutes of cardio on the elliptical and felt really good. Five meals around 50% carb/40% protein/10% fat and have been taking the supplements. Lets see how Day 2 goes.

Still, using thermos like DNP at higher BF levels will help you drop some %'s, but now when you hit a stall point later, you wont have anything to bump up to, safely.

You always want to start training naturally, get results, then add in thermos like Lipoflame or an ECA stack, then once you hit the lower BF levels if you stall out, use other things as a last resort for a short duration to help you break through the last stall point.

Starting with high risk thermos and then moving on normally just screws people up in my experience. My cousin is a trainer and I see it happen all the time with clients of his.

yes but some people will never listen. i wouldnt even use a eca stack or any other diet aids untill i got down to at least 18% naturally....i dont agree with the posters stratagy and anyone else reading this thread should take caution, im not flamming or putting the guy down its my opinion and when you start a thread basicly your asking for everyones opinion....right?......its real easy to read and aknolgage the post you agree with and let the ones you dont go in one ear and out the other but then your missing the point of this forum

There are so many experts that call DNP the biggest mistake in BBing.

IMHO, there is no responsible use of DNP, it is an industrial chemical.

There are risks to taking any drugs, even things like aspirin.

I really can understand wanting to lose body fat quickly, however there is so much research that states that the body does have a 'set point' that it likes to maintain with the levels of muscle and fat.

To change that set point, it is thought you need to maintain a weight for at least nine months, and any drastic and quick changes in body fat or muscle, the body will want to return to the previous set point as soon as possible.

Fat loss and muscle gain is more like a seduction, not a rape, which I would say DNP does to your body.

blantastic80 - Did you ever finish your DNP cycle? I would like to know a couple of things...

Did you drop some BF? How much?

Now that it has been a couple months did you put it back on? If not did you change your eating habits to maintain the new BF%?

I would like to know this as well.

I just found this post from a very cool woman on a BBing board in response to another woman asking about DNP and if she had taken it..................

Yes, and I can tell you with great certainty that whatever weight you take off with DNP will come back on within a matter of weeks - even if you tighten up your diet. DNP elevates your metabolism by as much as 50%. When you stop using it, your metabolism returns to normal, and sometimes even slows down. Our bodies constantly fight us during a diet to keep that fat on (thank you, prehistoric ancestors) - and I think DNP triggers your body/brain into thinking "WHOA! Losing too fast! Let's shut this puppy down!" ...and it will shut down to gain back the 10 or so pounds you'll lose, plus some just to be sure that you're not depleting your fat levels.
