Hey so im psyched I have my first appointment with my endo tomorrow. Been feeling like crap lately for the past two months. Fatigue, irritability big time especially at home, no libido at all. Got blood work done three weeks ago and results were as follows. I should note I am 34 y/o and completed an epi strong and anabeta 4 week cycle on December 28. Then took endosurge/erase for PCT which did not do anything for me from what I can tell. It did make me look good physically but as far as libido goes, i'm in the tank, as well with the other symptoms i've listed above.

Total test was 211 ng/dl (Range is 347 - 1197)
Free test was 5.6 pg/ml. (Range 8.7-25.1)

I then got other bloodwork done but copies were not available for me but the nurse told me that "Your prolactin levels are high and doc thinks you may have an adrenal gland issue and wants you to see an endo"

Thats where i'm at right now. Any advice on important things to ask tomorrow or even what to expect would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if I have ever been more stoked to see a doctor in my life. Thanks.

My advice, and advice I wish I got. Don't expect like you're gonna go in and walk out with a prescription for testosterone. That's what I did, and I couldn't wait for my first appointment. It's been almost 6 months now and the farthest I've gotten is some vitamin d and zinc to get my nutrients in my body up to par. I'm also hypothyroid and it took me about three months to figure out my endo was a complete ding dong. I am with a hormone doctor that's treating my thyroid, but am waiting to see if I will make the huge choice of trt. My second order of advice is that even if your endo DOES offer you a prescription, go to a different doctor. I know I'm contradicting myself but a doctor should honestly asses everything an every possible option before doing that. I am only 19 with a string of endocrine problems, good luck to you

So I went today and to make a long story short he retested both my prolactin levels and my testosterone levels. He said being that my prolactin is just above the normal range, he wants to check it again just to make sure it didn't skyrocket. He said if prolactin has stayed the same he is going to give me testosterone gel. If prolactin has raised since last blood test, then he is going to treat prolactin and send me for an mri. I really don't feel like doing the gel, Ive read and heard more bad than good from it. But we'll see next week what he says.

the so called range where i live in 250-800. He is not going to put u on anything before extensive bloodwork, i would not ask him either because that is gonna make him reluctant to prescribing u test

I wouldn't take the gel either. My endo said I could but I refused an it worked out to the best because I found a hormone doctor that discovered a chain of problems in my body. Androgel is expensive and you don't know how much will absorb on different days. How old are you?

ask him for the options to treat hypogonadism, and tell him u want injections because is cost effective and more effective than the gel.

Our endo reacted quite negatively when we protested to the gel, but he made some really good points for it as opposed to the shots, he said the shots create peaks which can cause issues in your blood work diagnostics, he also said the effect feels stronger but it's a bit more short lived, in our case the hubby needs the T because he pretty much feels like crap, low/no libido, no energy, etc so having the gel can give a more lasting and steady "feel good" sensation that the injections it seems, he got prescribed Axiron and will start his first dosage this weekend, he was also told to get a pituitary MRI so let's see how that goes, good luck to all of you as well. :)

Listen bro it's too early to take any life changing decision right now just from one failed pct , u still can recover to an acceptable level of test, try many different pct's b4 taking such a decision, did u try clomid with letro and dostinex for ur prolactin issues, u may need some hcg and hmg shots too at the beginning, it still can take several months to get the job done but don't despair from just one try u nay regret such a decision later cuz it's a lifetime commitement, i took the hrt route after years of abusing aas more than a decade and tried for a while year to recover then went the hrt route, ask ur endo about different pct's alternatives plus u can add some really gr8 supps that can really help like D-aspartic acid (modified amino) it really helps with some zma too, have a complete hormone panel, sex steroid corticosteroids (adrenal) thyroid too, then we can see a clearer picture and what options u have, did u check ur E2 ? I've seen many ppl even with a lower count than yours recover to the high normal range with just clomid or letro or aromasin but it'll take some time.
