Apparently in FireFox you can switch "profiles" or "users" or something, and one time I opened it and it told me my default was already in use and I had to make a new one...

well I can't find out how to switch back to my default profile with all my bookmarks and saved passwords etc.. anyone know where the option is?

thanks..

bran, this happened to me once.

i threw out my computer and got a new one.

don't take shit from your software, show it who's boss.

holy fuck, I had this happen like 3 times....fuckin blows...I'm working with an empty profile right now. no bookmarks

You need to go into the task manager and end the firefox process as sometimes it will stay in there even though you close it

First close down Firefox, then Select Start > Run... from the Windows
Start menu. Then type
"firefox.exe -profilemanager" without the quotation marks and press OK.
That will take you to
the profile manager menu.
Choose whatever one is not in use, close then do it again and select the original one.

Also you can do Ctrl, Alt, Del and close Firefox that way, it will restart fine in the same user.

Had it happen several times to me. I just restarted my computer and it fixed it.

The first time it happened, I wound up losing all of my bookmarks. It sucked.
