FINALLY I'm growing.

For those of you who don't know, I've been having a tough time gaining mass for the last 5 months. Well, I measured my legs today... WOOOHOOOO!!! The meat is sticking! Measuring 6" up from my knee cap my thigh is now 22.5". Squats are paying off. SWEET!

(Keep in mind they started at 20" and wouldn't budge)

I haven't had the chance to have my BF% calculated yet, but I have gained 8lbs in the last 1.5 months (I think I can thank the new BC pills for that.) My guess is my BF is around 17% still.

I just had to share with people who would understand how exciting gaining mass can be. I'm STOKED!!

i hate reading your posts because of your avatar, lol, sounds silly but i have a phobia of great white sharks. i get petrified when looking at them. fucks me up mentally and physically, lol.

nice job, wish i can gain that much in a month
 
good work i wish i could gain 8 lbs in a month and a half... ive been lifting for 8 months and only gained abot 10-15 lbs and thats eating 3000-3300 calories a day
 
wow i didnt even notice that but shit uve got wayy bigger legs than i do but i guess its more of an amazing job!

LOL!! Sorry, but I love Great Whites. ;) He's staying.

Thanks for the props guys. Currently I'm on a diet of about 3500-3700 calories per day. When I had the time to dedicate to it, I was consuming 4000 per day (and gaining almost nothing.) I think the new birth control pills have made a big, and positive, difference in how my body is responding.

Ceasar, don't worry about the 'bro' karma... I've been called worse. :)

Congrats on the growth. It's always a great feeling to have something tangibe and measurable to know that your program is working.

Nothing special, really.

Twice a week: Run stairs at the HS football stadium for 45 minutes.
Twice a week: Rollerblade at a 15mph pace (occasional power sprints) for 45 minutes.
Once a week: (Weather permitting) hiking 4-5 hours.

Weights:
4x8 125lbs stiff legged deadlift
4x8 90lbs hamstring curls
4x10 100lbs lunges
2x6 225lbs squats (edited: SHIT 4 sets! ;) I'd die if that was the case. Damn typos.)

My leg strength has decreased due to multiple hip injuries in the last 6 months. For now I can't go any heavier. Maybe in a year I'll try again. I'm pretty bummed about it. At one point I was up to 275lbs on squats. I'm patient though... I'm sure I'll get there again soon enough.

I'm not going for drastic growth... another 1.5" and I'll probably be happy. :) I was so frustrated for a while. I was working hard and not gaining any mass. What ever caused this change... THANK GAWD!
