i closed it 5 times as soon as i woke up after back and bi day. yay

i dunno if thats good. but ill stick with sets of 5, negatives and holds.

keep crushin'!

I'm a dumbass. I bought the #2 and #3 :(. I can get the #2 about an inch away from closed, which may as well be a mile.

time for the #2!!!

i have one. i havent tried it in a while, just been doing farmers and deads and i almost closed it. i was pretty far off before though.

Have you worked your coc gripping into your lifting routine, or do you just give it a squeeze when you feel like it? :)

Question for the audience - has anyone tried the ivanko gripper?

http://www.ivanko.com/products/html_stuff/gripper_info.html

It doubt it would give you the same irresistable lure to pick it up as the coc grippers, but you can vary the resistance by changing the spring positions, so you can try to increase it from week to week, or have light and heavy days.

You're a dumbass? I bought the Sport. What a waste that was.

Yeah but the #3 has a list of about 100 people who've ever closed it.

I'm gonna leave it in the package and hope it appreciates in value like a Star Wars toy :p

That's because probably only 500 have bought it. You'll get in a year or two. no worries.

I have an Ivanko, along with the CoC #1 & #2. Closed the #2 twice a few months ago. Got lazy lately, don't do grip stuff much anymore. Ivanko is nice, but you need grip tape in order to avoid your hand slipping on the slick, metallic handle.

Nate, how do you advise training grip? I think I've heard you advocate singles or doubles, low, low reps. Thing is, if you get the CoC #1 for a single or double, let's say, there's no way you can get the #2. I know Beast used to rep them for about 15-20 reps, and once he hit that, he was usually able to get a few reps on the next gripper up.

are these things that difficult?

the trainer is 100 pounds, 1 - 140, 2 - 195, 3 - 285? 4 - 365.. and then the new smaller ones are 60 and 80.. i think.. DT knows

i can get 5x5 with #1, if i tried, maybe 10-12 straight...

yes they are tough, as you squeeze it creates more and more pressure (or however they measure it). its a really thick coiled spring, im sure youve seen a hand gripper before.

yea I have seen some gripper before but they were practically a joke. I didn;t know they made hardcore hoah grippers. That's pretty damn cool.
