Fina Kit Help * Did i mess it up???

I got a question for you hopefully you can answer. I think I may have messed up my conversion. I dissolved the pellets in the BA and after 3 days it still was not dissolving so I heated it up in a hot water bath. The solution dissolved fully but it turned into a white paste at room temperature. Did I evaporate out all the BA. I heated it back up and it liquefied so I mixed it with some of the oil and let sit over night but in the morning the solids had crystallized in the oil and it didn’t look like it mixed with the oil. Not the regular gunk looking stuff but solid crystals lining the bottom and side of the bottle like a geode with loose oil floating on top. Is it not dissolving? Should I get more BA to add or did I mess it up? Please help? Thanks!

I have made numerous kits and I have never heated the pellets in the dissolving solution but they also never took that long to dissolve...

Update: since I have heated again to liquify and added to all the oil and it is staying dissolved but instead of the gunk settling on the bottom it’s a cloud floating of what looks like glimmery crystals. Is this my Fina? How do I fix this??? Thanks

6.8 ml bb
1.2ml ba
that's what you shoudl be dissolvig with

i added the pellets to the "magic solution" from the kit. But when i heated it it seemed to evaporate out? Basically it doesn't look like it is staying in solution unless heated. Should i add more "magic solution" or anything else?

that's what you shoudl be dissolvig with

+1 Do this. Heat and swirl if possible till pretty much dissolved. Then let sit to cool. You are not having enough solution to allow settling. After it settles you'll have what you need to draw out to get ready to filter.
Then you'll need to try and get the remaining product from the trash at the bottom. After this filter and at the end run 2ml. of oil through filter to retrieve more product left in the filter.
Nextime use EO and Ba to dissolve. It will be much much easier.

When i heat to dissolve it stays dissolved until it cools. I've made it many times before and the solids when cool don't look like the normal gunk, it looks like crystally like sugar water where water has evaporated. Will it continue to come out of solution if i don't add more "magic solution", BA, BB, EO etc.??

You need to let settle for no less than 24 hours so it will compact better at the bottom leaving you more liquid to draw out.

i've let it sit for 2+ days and it doesn't compact, it's like a crystally cloud, that is my question as to why it is like this?

what kind of kit did yoiu use? does it tell you what you have int he kit?
if you figure that out we can add more to dissolve and then just have to add extra oil and dilluttte so its nto as painful

It's very very hard to diagnose what is wrong without actually being there.
1. crush pellets best as you can.
2. place crushed pellets into the solution of 6.8ml BB and 1.2ml of BA inside of a vial then put inplace rubber top.
3. Place a 18-20g pin into the rubber to vent expanding vapors.
4. after oven has preheated to 250 degrees. Place into oven for 10 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and gently swirl around to better disolve.
6. Place in a secure undisturbed location for atleast 24 hours.
7. After it settles. Gentle move jug to a place where you can easily remove the liquid from the jug without pulling the bottom conents up in the syringe. Remember to remove the pin and rubber before hand.
8. After doing this. You can take a small funnel and a coffee filter. Place the funnel into the vial and the filter into the funnel. Let drip for another 24 hours if you like.
9. After this. Remove the funnel and begin drawing your solution up into a 10ml. syringe with a 18g pin.
10. Remove 18g pin and place your syringe filter onto the syringe with the syringe pointing up. Place a NEW 18g pin onto your filter.
11. With the filter still aimed up gentle push the oil into the filter till it's full without air.
12. Now filter your product slowly into a sterile sealed vial.
13. repeat.
14. At the end. Draw 2ml. of straight oil into your syringe and then place your filter onto the syringe and flush out the remaining good 2ml. of product.

thanks to everyone who gave the step by steps but i have those already, something was different in this batch as it appears i evaporated out all the "Magic Solution" when dissolving the pellets and now the fina doesn't stay dissolved in the oil. My question is just can i add more "MS" and be fine?

LOL. Just start from scratch again. You'l gimp it up so much that you won't know what concentration you'll have.

ok, just added the magic solution from another kit, seemed to dissolve the crystals very well, will leave overnight to settle and see if they stay in solution, it was about 8ml worth so concentration shouldn't be that far off, 1/5 at most lower which i'm fine with...

You added more solution to the original cart of pellets? Or you used a new cart of pellets and more solution?

i don't because i don't know anyone or anywhere to get that stuff, this is quick and (usually) easy... I added more MS to the crystally mix of pellets, oil, and what little if any MS was left over from before.

it dissolved nicely and has settled to the bottom packed pretty tight, looks like it worked, hopefully it doesn't sting too much...

they say finished product (4g kit)is supposed to be 80mg/ml (4g into 50ml)

all other kits (2g, 6g, 8g, etc.) they say come out to 100mg/ml...
