Fight video

why were he just taking it? he didnt even try to defend himself.
and the security guys were slow as hell.

anybody out there that knows korean? so we can hear what he was saying?
 
found out the story. the guy who is hitting the bus driver was drunk. the bus had almost hit the guy due to a mistake made by the drunk guy, so the bus driver honked at him.

the bus driver ended up with a ruptured ear drum and spent a month in the hospital recovering.
 
man, I wish they would have let the bus driver sock that fuck a few times after they handcuffed him.

i wish people would try to pull that shit on me. would be a nice exscuse to throw a brick at their head
 
I speak korean but its too muffled to understand, but the reason the bus driver didnt hit back is cause of the entire passive asian thing.
 
in asian cultures -- they're trained the BEST way to end a fight -- is not to fight back. The other person will immediately think of themselves as the 'victor' and leave them alone.

If you fight back -- you might get hurt even more. That's how it works with the cops there -- which is why when cops beat you up -- you lie down and "take it". If you fight back -- they're hit you harder.

thats the stupidest thing i ever heard, when your fighting back you might get hit with some glancing blows that dont do as much damage, to sit there and take them without defending is asking to get hurt bad....the cops that a whole diff story..everyone knows its a lose lose situation..you cant fight back.

I'm not sure that I agree. Things tend to escalate when people fight back. Giving them a slap is no longer an option........you have to leave everybody in no doubt about who is boss. So the loser of the confrontation is likely to get hurt more than if they had just avoided the confrontation.
 
Exactly.

When you're a kid and the bully is beating u up -- what do u do? curl up in a ball and take it and hopefully he'll quit soon. It's like that in Arabic cultures too if some guy in a higher caste or some religious figure is beating u -- you "take it" like a man. To fight back would be an insult and met with even more deadlier consequences.

Fighting back *can* escalate things -- and it's even more dangerous in asian cultures, so they don't believe in the "mono e mono" fighting ethics of the west. You'll see 3 on 1, 10 on 10, 5 on 2 all the time.

Heck, in Hong Kong -- some guys (mainly yakuzas/triads or whatever their chinese term is) will beat up "losers" in clubs or homeless people in the streets just to impress their chicks.
 
Well since this happened in Korea, the guy probably got a royal beating at the police station. You'll notice most asian cops dont even have batons, they juste beat the shit out of the suspect to put him into submission.
 
well the "not fighting back" technique obviously didn't work in this case. he would have kept wailing on him if the police didn't show up.

fighting back would have been a much better choice. the guy was kicking him in the head for fucks sake. he wouldnt have been able to do that if the victim was fighting/scrambling around
